Mr. Buckles pulled up to a dark, gray house located in Galveston, Texas.
"Wait, father?" asked Elizabeth. "Hmm?" her father replied. "We are moving into this house?" Elizabeth questioned with her head tilted. She hoped they weren't moving into this old, creepy looking house. "Mhm." Mr. Buckles answered. "But, no! I didn't take my picture frame! And look at this ugly looking house! It seems haunted." Elizabeth cried. "Nonsense," Mrs. Buckles said, "This house does not have any disadvantages. Take a look at its status," Elizabeth took the paper and looked. "No damages or paranormal activity." she mumbled to herself. "Exactly." Mrs. Buckles took the paper out of Elizabeth's hands and told her to check out the house while she and Mr. Buckles unload the boxes.
Elizabeth entered the house and felt butterflies in her stomach. She knew going in this creepy house alone is a bad idea, but her parents are nearby. As she walked in, she heard the wooden floors creak. "Umm, okay, it's just a wooden floor creaking, nothing bad." Elizabeth told herself. Then suddenly, when she looked to the left, she saw claw marks. "What? Huh? Claw marks? I thought this house didn't have any damages." Elizabeth questioned. She ran to her mother and said, "Mother come here I need to show you something!" "I'm busy," Mrs. Buckles responded. Elizabeth paused for a moment and had no other choice but to drag her mother's arm. They both went inside the house with the floor creaking behind them and then Elizabeth pointed out, "Look, there are claw marks! I thought this house didn't have any damages." Mrs. Buckles seemed disappointed. "Maybe an animal came here and-" Just as Mrs. Buckles was trying to finish her sentence, Mr. Buckles called her to come help him carry a heavy box. "Alright!" Mrs. Buckles answered. "Oh never mind then," Elizabeth said rolling her eyes. She continued searching the house as her parents unload boxes.
