I woke up to the smell of food and sunlight pouring in from the window. That smells really good I thought. I sat up, noticing delirious didn't have an alarm clock or anything to tell what time it was.
I looked out the window to try to decipher a guess as to what the time was. The sun was just rising and the clouds were gently hovering over it. The sky was a beautiful light orange color and a few birds flew around in the distance. I figured it was maybe six or seven. I got out of bed, noticing delirious wasn't even in the room, or so I thought. Not even after I took one step I tripped over the sleeping body of delirious on the floor.
He groaned, but didn't even wake up. I carefully removed my legs from his sleeping form, as I walked out of the room and quietly closed the door behind me. As I walked down the stairs I saw Nogla making, what looked to be, pancakes and bacon. I quickly noticed that there was a clock on the kitchen wall. The time read 7:26.
>>7:26am
I pulled out a chair at the counter island. He noticed the noise and turned around. He observed me for a second and then went back to cooking.
"Do you need any help?" I asked. He nodded in response.
"You can bring me the syrup from te pantry over there and help me put all te food on te plates. Te food is almost done," he instructed in a more upbeat tone than yesterday when we first met.
"Okay," I said and walked over to the pantry. I skimmed through the neatly lined up shelves. There were different kinds of spices and other basic food necessities. I saw the bottle of syrup with a bear top and picked it out. I handed the bottle to Nogla and he smiled in response. That was the first time I saw him smile. I smiled back. "Where can I find the plates, and how many do I need?" I questioned.
"In that cabinet to te left of the pantry and eleven including you," he answered and continued cooking. The cabinet was pretty high, so I had to step on my tip toes to actually reach the plates. (If you're not short just go with it lol.) I grabbed eleven plates and turned to set them on the table. I placed them down nicely but I noticed there was only nine seats. I guess two of the eleven of us will have to sit on the couch or something.
Nogla put food on all the plates and when he was finished, he looked at me. "You wanna see how I wake everyone up in te morning?" He said sounding mischievous and giving me an evil grin. I nodded in response and he walked over to the bottom cabinet and pulled out two frying pans. He grabbed my hand and practically ran up the stairs with the frying pans in his other hand. He opened the first door in the hallway with no hesitation at all. I saw Vanoss sleeping quietly in his bed. His soft snores echoed throughout the room when we walked in. That didn't last for long. Nogla banged the two frying pans together making a loud and horrible sound. I covered my ears as Vanoss shot up in his bed. When he did get up I noticed he didn't have a shirt on. I replaced my hands on my ears by putting them over my eyes. I felt as red as a tomato as all the heat rose to my face.
"NOGLA WHY?!" Everyone screamed in the hallway simultaneously, including Vanoss. I'm pretty sure Nogla even woke some people on the second floor as well. Nogla and I busted out laughing. Even if my face was as red as a tomato, it was still funny. Nogla was looking at me and slyly smirking. Vanoss was just sitting in his bed, rubbing the tiredness from his eyes.
"What's got (Y/N) so flustered?" he said making Vanoss stop rubbing his eyes and look over at us.
"N-nothing," I lied. Did I seriously just stutter?
"Suurreee. Anyways, breakfast is downstairs if anyone wants to get up and eat anytime soon." I heard a ton of footsteps from the hall as I started walking to the stairs.
