Unexpected

That day

I still remember that day, not only like it was yesterday but only a few seconds ago. The pounding of my heart, shaking my whole body. The royal family were all gone every last one of them. I was still at the orphanage then miss.crowder was hunched over crying tears running down leaving there wet trails her face as red as my hair maybe darker, shaking, trembling and I was expressionless I could do nothing I didn't understand what had happened. A while after I heard rumors from the other children but nothing I could confirm. Molly said the royal family was kidnapped, but she said that about her favorite dolly every time she lost it under the blanket. Jose an older girl said they were all killed and the news people just couldn't say anything, Jose was always sad and thought about death a lot, she thinks she's to old to be adopted so there's no point so that's also a lost cause. My heart hurts thinking about it... the royals like there's something I should know but I can't quite figure it out. I twirl my hair around my finger and sit on my bed to think. A few minutes later I'm interrupted by miss.crowder , "ok children time to put on your nicest clothes someone is coming to the orphanage today and I wasn't even allowed to know who it is so it's a surprise" she says emphasizing surprise. I go to my bag under my bed and find my favorite baby blue dress with white lace yellowed by the years, its one of the nicest ones we have at the orphanage, apparently it was my moms... I don't really remember her but she must have been beautiful and lucky to have this nice of a dress, a little old time like but beautiful none the less. I hear a honk like noise and me and all the other girls rush to the old rotted wooden window to gaze at the black sleek car and tinted windows pulling up in the driveway, we don't see these kind of nice things around here, all we really see is drug deals and drunks, all the girls oooh and ahhh.
