December 24, 1804: Today is the day before Christmas, AKA Christmas eve. I am excited all though I know I am not going to get any presents.
December 25, 1804: Today is Christmas! I looked outside to see the beautiful snow, I gave pomp my last bits of buffalo. Soon enough, the snow fell down fast faster than ever. I am surprised we didn't consider that a blizzard.
December 26, 1804: Today I feel as if nothing happened but snow, sometimes I get so bored I'd rather sleep, and I really don't like sleeping.
January 1, 1805: Today is the first day of 1805! How exciting.
February 11, 1805: I have had my baby! His name is Jean Baptiste Charbonneau. Of course, it was not my decision on what to name him. Clark got to chose his nickname though, Pomp or Pompey.
February 12, 1805: Today I feel lots different. I feel less hungry I am sore from having my baby boy, I think I might have lost the big appetite I had when I was pregnant with him.
February 13, 1805: Today I am feeling a bit bored, so I guess I will have to do something fun, but all I do is be an interpreter I mean I guess it is kinda cool to be bilingual. My name means Bird Woman, well, that is kinda cool. I guess I am not bored after all writing about myself is kinda fun, I guess.
February 14, 1805: Today I am so happy! We traded some beads for some new moccasins for me! My old ones were so worn out so I had to walk barefoot, I am so glad I got some new moccasins.
February 15, 1805: Today, we found another prairie dog. It is cool how they live in holes in the dirt. It is kinda cool how they can pop in and out of the ground.
February 16, 1805: My baby pomp was very hungry, so I had to give him some our only buffalo. It was my only piece of buffalo. So now I learned how hard it is to be a mother.
