Chapter 2
April POV
I opened the book and began to scan through.
April:  Here is a thought to formulate a good question, when do you consider yourself to be in an official relationship with a female?
Kadeem: Well, several months.
April: Typically for some men or maybe all. They always tend to spend less time deciding and planning the course of their life especially in the terms of relationships.
Kadeem: Yes most of us do. Some female feels it official after two or three dates. And then blame us when they are the one moving too fast.
April: So let me guess, you have to experience that strong emotional connection before it's official?

The phone rang once and cut my question. Then suddenly I received an incoming text. As usual, it was my best friend, Annakay. We met in College and had been friends since then. Yes, my best friend is a Jamaican. She is a kind, loving, and honest person. She is very short but has a bad attitude. She is successful in anything and humble. She never lets me face my problems alone. I glad she is in my life and will forever remain there.
Incoming Text from Shanice: Goodie, Neva know you di have a ting for blue eyes man dem. (Translation: hot girl, I did not know you like guys with blue eyes).
"I swear this girl sees everything," I said to myself as I scanned the area looking for her. No sign of Shanice. Suddenly, I received another incoming text message.
Incoming text from Shanice: Nuh worry goodie, I see you. Details later. (Translation: Don't worry hot girl, I see you. Details later)
I laughed to myself. Shanice has that Antenna thingy. That girl sees, knows, and processes everything. Omg, its time to head back the office.

Kadeem POV
An incoming call interpreted April from asking me a question. I had a feeling, the question would be,  "are you giving yourself a chance to experience that connection?"  To be honest I have not experienced that feeling of love for a long time ago. Being committed in a relationship is not for me, Kadeem Baxter. I love the privilege of sleeping with anybody I like and want to.  I never, ever want to hear about your day. The only verbal communication that should be made is when we having sex. No Kadeem, go slow Kadeem, that is the spot Kadeem. My sex game is vice versatile. I can give a female vicious or gentle sex, romantic or raw sex, sensual or passionless sex, spontaneous normal sex, quick or slow sex, or public sex or home sex. Welcome to Kadeem's World where I can upgrade a just plain vanilla to many different flavors. I like when female understand their position in my life. There's nothing wrong with just wanting sex. The main rule, cannot cope with my lifestyle then leave. My motto is "not being in love makes me happy, money is my happiness". No female has wooed me for years now.
"Except April," a voice at the back of my head stated
April: Sorry to cut the conversation but really have to head back office.
Kadeem: Do you need a ride?
April: No its okay. I enjoy the walking, besides it is good exercise.
I could not stop myself from looking at her as she approached the restaurant's exit. She looks as though she is an angel, in the form of the most beautiful girl on earth. With every step she took, it looked as though she were floating, and I only became more convinced that I had found an angel. She smiled at me. "What does it mean?" I said to myself, "What is the reason behind her smile". Maybe she was just being friendly. Does she like to smile? Or maybe she found me interested enough to smile. Or maybe she's laughing at me. Or maybe she knows I can't stop myself from staring at her.
