The movie is an amalgamation of four short films. So lets see the common elements that amalgamate these four short films in a beautiful manner.
Common Element - SOLO
All the four short films talk about the solo life that the actor has to live because of other people.
The movie begins with our hero who is solo because of his lover; second movie tells about a woman who is his wife who passes away and makes him solo; third movie goes with his mother who left him and made him solo and; finally it is the story of a girl who makes him solo because just like Earth she also has same origin and makes him solo.
Common Element - FOUR ELEMENTS
It reveals the four elements. Begins with water, goes on to wind, then to fire and finally earth.
First movie water signifies it gives life so his girlfriend gives life to a kid and and then leaves him forever;
Second movie revolves around air which gives and takes life does the same with his wife and the people who killed them;
Third movie many scenes are shown with flames like the one in which a picture of his brother and him being burnt. In this film hero has to die because agni (Fire) takes the life. It will beautify before it takes life, similarly Dulquer sees his mother and he finds peace before his death for a short span. fire will keep on continuing and it never ends similarly after his brother died his siblings takes up the task of killing people and the flame goes on.
Final story of at the picture clearly depicts that we all have the same origin mother Earth who gives life to all. Similarly Dulquer is left to be solo because he and the girl who he loves both are unfortunately from the same parent.
So this is how the film is related to the four elements of nature so wonderfully pictured with scenes depicting their correlations.
Common Element - LORD SHIVA
Let us see the movie in another aspect which is a detailed depiction to the God of all these elements none other than the great Shiva. He has a lot of names and beautifully they have taken his name and given to each of these films. Movie begins with our hero named Shekhar which is one of the many naes of Lord Shiva. The basic characteristic of Shiva which is anger is persistent here in Shekhar.
The second movie he takes the name Trilok, god of three universe and he takes the life of two people who killed his world (trilok) and that three people are his wife, child and himself. They depicts it so beautifully that you have to see the movie twice to realize that she was pregnant with twins and that is his lok.
In the third part like fire he's given his real name Shiva here people get to know the connection that is having with the Lord Shiva though in between all transitions shows a clear caricature of Lord Shiva in different forms and describe each elements and their properties. Here just like Shiva opens his third eyes and burns everything, he is a destroyer here.
Final part he takes the name of Rudra, the first avatar of Shiva. Here he is an army officer which shows that he is protecting the earth.
So this is how so beautifully they blend all the four films with a common connection of Lord Shiva with these names Shekhar, Trilok, Shiva and Rudra.
