I've recently been looking for a way to tell time in a fantasy world, though it's been unclear on how to do so. As there were no clocks, hours, minutes; but sundials, and stars. Perhaps a mindfulness of knowing the time. So, I've gathered the very few recourses I found to figure a time.
Native Americans would use the saying "a pipe ago", for thirty minutes, as this is how long it would take to smoke a pipe. As for measurements; paces would have to be used, as measurements were never used.
