*Morgan's POV*

It. Was. Him. I can't BELIEVE it! My mom can't, as well. She keeps giving me these weird looks with her eyebrows raised. It's kinda funny. It makes me want to laugh every time, but I just smile and try not to laugh. Which is harder than you think when he's trying to make small talk. "Soooo, where did you guys move from?" "We moved from Portland, Oregon." "Cool" he replied. That was basically it though.

It stayed silent for a little bit longer. You could feel the awkward hanging in the air.

"Can I just say it? you know what, screw it. I don't care if you don't want me to or not. I'm saying it. You're Tino. From Of Mice & Men." My mother said that so freshly. I wouldn't be able to say it like that.

He smiled and laughed. "Yes, I am. I'm glad you guys noticed so I wouldn't have to explain it to you guys." Woah, that went nicely. "Well, where do you guys wanna go? To a clothes shop, right?" He asked. "Yea, we just need pj's for tonight" I said. he said okay and that we were almost there. Not even 2 minutes later, we were there.

"Thanks so much Tino. We won't be long, I promise" I said, trying to sound nice. "It's cool, the guys are coming over for a bit anyways so I don't mind if they wait outside. Oh, they're coming over for a bit, if that cool with you guys?" he asked with a questioning look. "Oh sweetie, we don't mind at all! I get to meet Austin Carlile, Morgan! This is great! I'm so excited. He is quite a handsome man. I like his screaming. Even though I'm not a big fan of that. But I like your guys' stuff. It's inspiring." My mother was running her mouth. I'm glad I got her into them and all, but she needs to tone it down before he thinks we're creepy. "That's great! They don't know about you guys yet, but they will soon. It could even be a surprise I guess" he said as smiled. We walked into the store to buy pj's.

My mom ran off and It was just Tino and I. "Your mom is something else" he said. "Yeah, I know. She's a bit crazy" I said. He laughed. "But in a good way. She's cool. Mainstream, even" he said. I laughed and we walked to the pj's.

I looked for a bit while he just texted someone. Probably one of the guys. This is surreal. I'm shopping with Tino. Valentino from Of Mice & Men. One of my heroes and inspirations. This is amazing. I thought this while looking for some clothes. I found this "I <3 SF" shirt and some plain black shorts. I texted my mom to meet me at the cash register so we can cheek out.

"Found some" I said to him. He nodded and walked with me to the front. I saw my mom so I walked to her. We set out stuff on the counter and the lady said "that'll be 35.50 please." I reached for my wallet when Tino already handed her money.

"Hey, you didn't have to do that. I have money right here" I said and waved my wallet in his face. He laughed and lowered my arm. "But I wanted to. You guys are my new roomates, it's my treat." My mom leaned into me and whispered, "he's such a gentleman, keep him." we laughed and went to the car.

"Thanks, that was sweet of you" I said as we took off. "No problem. I like doing stuff like that. It makes me feel good on the inside" he said with a cheesy smile. I smiled and he turned on the radio.

We arrived and got out. I saw the rest of Of Mice at the apartment door. "Fallow my lead" my mom said. Oh no. This will be funny but inappropriate, I can already tell. She whispered "put your arms around us" she said. I broke out into a grin and already knew what was happening. He gave me a funny look like "should I?" And I shook my head yes. He did so, and we walked up to them. "Yo man, what took so long?" Alan asked. "He was picking us up from our corner" my mom said. I wanted to smile and laugh SO badly but I couldn't. My mom was such a clown sometimes. The rest of the band gave Tino and us a weird look. Tino unlocked the doors and we all walked in. "Just kidding, he didn't pick us up from a street, we live here now" my mom said. "I'm gonna go change. I'm tired." And then she walked off. "What the fuck?" I heard Alan say. I laughed. "Sorry, my mom is weird. Please excuse her. She's not completely sane. I'm actually surprised she didn't freak out when she saw you guys" I said an laughed.

"I like your mom, she's cool and funny" Alan said in his cute, awkward talking.
