It All Begins

    Alan got out of his car and walked into the old office building, although the walls were covered with peeling paint and the carpet was rugged, he took a deep breath and looked at his feet. He glanced back at the door and the rainwater leaking under it. He mentally prepared himself for his next task. He entered the elevator and went up to the boss's office. Though the rest of the building looked rather old and rundown the boss's office looked as if it had just been added to the building. He needed the job to pay for medicine for his mother who at the time had recently been diagnosed with cancer.

    He stepped out of the elevator and took a deep breath. He stood still pondering whether this was worth it or not. After a moment he stepped into his soon-to-be boss's office and sat down. He took a quick glance at his feet before he began to speak, " Sir" The boss raised an eyebrow and turned around, "Who are you?" he asked, "blech, nevermind. What do you want from me?" There was a moment of silence before the man spoke. 

    He said, "What draws to this place?", the boss had a disgruntled look on his face as he was asked this question. The boss answered, "Is this all you came here for? You're wasting my time." The man responded with,"Well you don't seem to have a better use for your time." The boss was angered by this remark but attempted to stay calm. He spoke softly,"So what is it that you want from me? Are you here for the job interview?" The man ecstatically answered with a firm,"Yes". The boss studied him for a moment before he replied,"Well you can't have it, you walked in here without scheduling a meeting time. I can't let you have the job if you do that. And who is to say you won't do that a lot?"
