"GAH!!" Jacob screamed. "What th-!" He was interrupted by a hand over his mouth.
"Shhhhhh" Jessica whispered "you'll wake up your parents." They stayed quiet for a while listening for Jacobs mum and dad. Silence.
"We're good." Jacob said. " What are you doing here Jessica? It's eleven at night." She smiled and walked back to his window and made a 'follow me' gesture. So he did. After they had slid down the roof and jumped into the lawn Jessica led Jacob to Shannon house. Shannon was a night owl, she didn't talk to people much but she was happy in her group of friends.
The friends had nothing in common with each other
Jacob, the sporty one. Jessica, the fun one. Shannon, the quiet one. Alice, the popular one. Adrian, the smart one.
Jessica told Jacob to go get Alice and Adrian and she would get Shannon. A few minutes later they met in the middle of the street. "What are we doing here at half 11 at night?" Alice asked.
"You got something better to do?" Jessica asked. They were all paying attention now.
"So basically we are gonna break into the new private swimming pool. Waddya think?" Jessica said in a peppy voice. "Sure why not." Shannon replied first. They all turned their heads to look at Shannon, as they did she buried her head.
"Sounds fun!" Adrian said
"Why not?" Jacob sighed
"4 v 1" Jessica said, her excitement building
"Ugh fine." Alice said begrudgingly.
"Whoo!!" Jessica screamed.
"What if we get caught?" Shannon mumbled." It is a government retreat isn't it?" Jessica stared at Shannon.
"It'll be fine."
