The woman stared at him intently before she laughed. “Why, you ask?” she said, amused by the question.

“Yes, and I know you have the answer,” Yuuno answered. By the faint light in the room he can sense she really knows something.

“Because this world is heading for destruction, what you seek is very rapidly increasing the chances of depleting the population.”

          “So, can you help us?”

“This world is already doomed. It will come here eventually, seeking for an old… friend. Though I strongly doubt you’d still be alive to see it.”

Chapter One

Happening Twice

The evil beings known as Demons are slowly scattering. The forces of evil are increasing, and one cannot be sure of what was to come.

The World has become an evil place, and demons assure the form of bad ideas, entering the human mind.

The scientists were the ones first to be entered by the evil ideas, and they invented horrible things, so powerful, the government protected it with its vast power.

But when the ideas started becoming evil, the government decided to put a stop to this at once. They created the Hunters, designed to hunt and kill every last one of the ideas.

The Hunters were successful, however, one Idea alone escaped, and all Hunters who tried to kill it died. And the world faces its crisis, with no one left to protect them.

Evident signs of changes in this world were showing. There is now a Headquarters for Detectives, where people could just plea for help in cases.

Chief Detective Jamie Condieu stared hard at the report, shaken but not showing it. The rain pattered hard on the roof, making any noise unheard. He checked his watch. 10:30. He sighed, picking up the envelope of the report.

He wasn’t expecting random reports in this time of the night, in the middle of the rain, but this report did just that. An employee just rushed up to him, give him this paper, then dropped unconscious. Curious, he thought.

Another employee knocked on his door. “Come in,” Jamie said. The employee, Ron Coller, peeped inside, still holding a telephone. “Yes?” Jamie asked impatiently.

“Still no answer from Agent Crucix, sir,” Ron answered, stuttering slightly.

Jamie managed to control his anxiousness. “No answers?”

“We contacted his location. At the police station sir, but he isn’t picking up his phone even if we miscalled him 20 times.”

Jamie raised his eyebrows. Police station? What the heck is he doing there? He thought. And here I thought I messaged him clearly to go here, immediately.

“Sir?”

Could it be, he’s one of the victims?...

“Sir?”

No, he shaked the thought. Maybe he got lost again and just asked for directions. Heaving a deep breath, he shooked his head. “Wait for him. He’ll show up eventually.”

Ron nodded. “Okay, sir. I’ll knock your door 3 times when he appears.”

“Go. Resume your work.”
