your pov

i grabbed the straps of my backpack and walked into the huge school.

"y/n! y/n! hey girl!" i heard my friend jasmine say from behind me.

i turned around and plastered a smile on my face.

"hey jasmine! what's up?" i tell the dark-haired girl.

"nothin!" she says with a smile.

"can i see your schedule? i want to see if i have any classes with my bff!" she continued.

i nodded my head and handed her my schedule.

her smile dropped.

"we only have phys-ed together! UGH!" she exclaimed falsely.

i put a frown on my face, even though i was secretly happy to not have many classes with her.

"awe, that's too bad. but hey, we have lunch!" i told her.

jasmine nodded.

"well, see ya! i gotta go look out for some cuties." she told me with a wink.

i just laughed and shook my head.

'typical jasmine.' i thought.

i put another bright smile on my face and walked down the hall, adding a little skip to my step.

i even added a little sway to my hips.

that was until i heard someone cat-call me.

henry bowers.

"ooh! lemme get some of that, sexy!" henry and his goons howled at me.

my smile disappeared and i simply rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at them.

i turned back around and continued my way to my first period.

civics.

i found the class and i entered the room, soon realizing i was early since there was not many kids in there.

richie tozier was in there though.

he was talking to stan.

i mean, there is no harm in goin to talk to them.

stan is my friend, so that's okay.

...right?

anyways, i walked over to their three desks next to eachother and i put my binder and stuff on the available desk.

they looked up at me with surprise.

"oh, i'm sorry. is this seat taken?" i hurriedly said and began to gather my stuff into my arms once again.

"oh, no it's not y/n. you can sit there, if you want." stan reassures me.

i smile thankfully and put my stuff down.

"thanks stan." i say with another award-winning smile.

i sit down and adjust my dress.

then i look up at richie and i put my hand out.

"y/n l/n. nice to finally met you, richie." i tell the cute curly headed boy.

he smirks and shakes my hand.

"nice to finally meet you too, m'lady." he says and swiftly kisses my hand.

i laugh lightly and pull my hand away.

"bill was right, you are quite the flirter." i say in between giggles.

"oh, so you and billy talked about me? and i know, i'm quite the heartthrob." he flirts.

i roll my eyes and laugh again.

"oh, you are the biggest heartthrob there is, trashmouth. and yes, we did talk about you, just because i asked about all of you guys." i tell richie.

"you asked about us? why?" stan quickly asks.

i shrug.

"i don't know to be honest. i guess i just wanted to make new friends. sorry if that made you guys uncomfortable." i tell the two boys.

"oh, no it's okay. i was just wondering." stan tells me.

i nod.

"you guys are also walking me home, i asked billy to and he said you guys would all tag along. you don't have to, i understand if you guys have important plans to get to." i tell the two.

"no, we have all the time in world for you, miss l/n." richie flirts with a wink.

i laugh some more and hit his shoulder lightly.

i open my eyes to see richie beaming at me.

"so how was your guy's summer?" i ask them, bringing back the question i asked billy not too earlier ago.

their smiles dropped and they looked at each other seriously.

"it was uh, er... weird... so to say." stan informed me.

richie nodded.

"huh. billy said the same thing." i said with a shrug.

"well, how was your summer?" stan asked me.

"it was... okay. i mean i never got a day to myself. guys were either trying to get some, or some girls were just wanting to boost their popularity by hanging out with me. i mean, i don't even understand why i'm so popular. i'm not anything special." i say.

"not anything special? baby, you're perfect. you ain't got one problem." richie flirts once again.

i flinch at the word perfect.

"yeah... i wouldn't be so sure about that, lover boy." i whisper ever so quietly.

"what was that?" stan calmly asks.

"nothing. i was just saying, uh, thank you." i quickly recover.

richie and stan nod.

"alright class! let's review over last year." my civics teacher says.

huh.

i didn't even notice all of these people coming in.

i look around and i see my 'friend' madyson.

(yes, you can spell madyson like that)

she looks at me and motions with her head towards richie and stan.

'why are you sitting with them?' she mouths to me.

'i don't know. no one else was in the class when i walked in. they're pretty cool.' i mouth back.

'no they aren't. remember your people. you are the most popular girl in this school, don't give that up for a couple of losers.' madyson tells me with a glare.

i just gulp and nod.

she smiles at me and turns back towards the teacher.

"that little witch with a b." i mumble.

"who are you talking about?" richie asks while leaning forward, getting closer to me.

i turn around.

"oh, no one. just someone. get to work!" i whisper yell.

richie just laughs and writes on the paper the teacher hands out.

this is going to be an interesting year.
