briar was the beloved princess of the underworld, the only child to have come from the king and queen, the first heir to the throne

loki was the prince of asgard, by all accounts the black sheep of the royal family, second heir to a throne no one wanted him to sit at after his actions on earth

the two realms had been untied thousands of years ago, a once fruitful relationship having tarnished due to do age and jealousy between the gods and their worshipers, but that was then and this is now, and the two realms were ready to reunite once again

and what better way to unite two ancient realms together than a marriage! it was simple, traditional... and maybe it had been the first option thought of

and so, the only eligible princess— the princess of the underworld, was sent to asgard, promised to a prince, but the fates could never make things easy and the princess would find herself trying to navigate a way through his heart of ice
