UMBRA
PROLOGUE
Outer Darkness; A land of magic and power, a land of perpetual chaos and peace. The land of the blood wars.
Dare I speak the name of the great king Cain, he who opened the gates of the water portals, and in the eve of war with the human kind, transported the great city of Atlantis through the water to the great Darkness of out side, the dimensional world known as Outer Darkness, from where water is born and flows freely to other dimensions. There the great book of law was created and the great king went to sleep as is normal in his kind. But the arch duke Mephistos broke the first law, Factions must no fight amongst them self. He declared war to the dark ones and fought for the throne of the dark king. And just as the war was on the land of the great elves, Cain ordered the banishment of Mephistos to the land of humans. There using the shadow portals amongst the waters, the great Umbras, the army of Mephistos were doomed to walk the earth, from that day on.
The rain felt merciless as drops of ice, making its way down bleak canopies of green trees.
It was dark and the depression made it hard to see. a pair of green eyes glimmer in the darkness as the shape of a person discovered by the light of the skies.
"Halina!" a voice called from some where in the woods and the shape ran towards the voice.
"Halina!"
"Father?!" the girl screamed, her voice drowned by thunder and rain. She was a young woman, or so she seamed. Her strange silver blonde hair stuck to her face and pointy ears dripping the rain that felt over her. She frantically looked around trying to find the source, the place from where her father was calling.
"Halina!"
"Father!" Thunders swallowed her desperate screams, she felt to the ground. Only a soiled dress, covered in blood, protected her form the cold and the water.
A lightning broke the skies in two giving a little light to the drenched forest. There the she saw something in the bushed, a person.
Standing up a fast as her long wet dress allowed her she approached the sack on the bush. "Halina my dearest girl" a voice came from the dark figure bundled up in the bushes. She pushed her way through branches and go to it, cooping his face in her small slender hands.
Her dark green eyes went wide in horror. There in her hands lay the face of the man she once called father now withered by death, his dark forest green eyes frozen in the moment of death, dull and bleak, lost of every spark of energy they once hold. Fear spread across his face and black stains of what was once blood adorned his poor face.
A hand on her shoulder startled her, pulling her away from her fathers face. She turned around and wrapped her self to the waist of the young man there, but she never got to see his face.
"I must go" his dark voice said
"No, please stay"
"I can't I'm going to Malkut "
"Then take me with you" the answer never came as he freed himself from her grip and walked away.
"No! Don't go! don't leave me!"
"Be safe Halina" he said turning around to face her but the darkness never let her see his face. And so he disappeared.
