"Anything else?" a guy from the red team asked me tiredly, he was rather short and had to lift his chin up to see me over the piles of food on my tray. I grinned cheekily.

"Nah, I think this is enough, " I said jokingly, he just rolled his eyes, but I saw his cheeks crease and his eyes twinkle; a sure sign he was holding back a smile. He paid for my food and then he dissapeared into the crowds, I smiled to myself before turning around. I looked out over the vast sea of chattering students, trying to find myself a spot amongst the circular tables. I saw a completely empty table in the far corner next to a glass door, the glass door seemed to lead out to the football fields and running track, it also gave a nice view of the forest beyond the sports areas. "Perfect, " I muttered to myself before I started to walk. My converses squeaked against the shiny marble as I carefully made my way through the jungle of lanky teenage legs as they sprawled in my path.

I was a few steps away from the table when an hand suddenly shot out and grabbed my upper arm. I followed the long-sleeved clad arm to find a girl with crazy brown hair and matching frantic eyes. "Where are you going?" she hissed. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I gently tugged my arm out of her grasp.

"I'm going to sit down, " I muttered to her as I pointed a steady finger towards the secluded table. Something about this girl put me off, something about her panicky eyes and unruly hair stirred my fear.

"You can't sit there!" she hissed in anger. "That's where Cole Mathews sits, " she whispered fearfully, as if by some miracle he would hear her. I took another step away, her arm fell down too her side and she stared at me with unreadable eyes.

"I think I'll be just fine, " I told her firmly before I quickly turned around and walked with quick steps towards the table. I couldn't stand bieng around her much longer, she seemed anxious and frantic, I don't need any of her unwanted emotions rubbing off on me.

I plopped down on the side of the circular table so I had a perfect view of the lush green fields and tranquil forests. The sun shone brightly through the glass doors and warmed my cold cheeks. I sighed in content and grabbed one of my many slices of pizza, I took a huge bite and enjoyed the gooey cheese. A string of warm cheese was still connected to my pizza slice as I chewed, I awkwardly leaned backwards, trying to break the string of cheese.

Suddenly, the sun seemed to switch off. My eyes were abruptly shadowed as something stepped infront of the glass doors. I turned my head, pizza filled cheeks and all, to see the tallest shadow I had ever seen blocking out the sun from the other side of the doors. The cheese seemed to suddenly turn flavorless in my mouth and the forest didn't look so tranquil anymore, rather everything seemed dull and grey. The forests looked like the place of nightmares as my eyes made contact with nearly white-blue orbs. The string of cheese abruptly broke and fell onto my shirt, sticking there with grease as I sat frozen, mid-chew and leaned back awkwardly. The whole lunchroom seemed to become silent as the glass doors opened. The shadowed figure opened the door and took a step into the lunchroom before stopping. A waft of searing hot air drifted throught the doors before they clicked shut. I blinked a few times to help adjust my eye sight before looking up.

I had to arch my neck so far back I'm pretty sure it popped, before I could even get a glimpse of the boys face. When I did however, my breath hitched and the air seemed to freeze within my lungs. I swallowed, the flavorless cheese seemed to slowly slide down my throat as he tilted his neck to look down at me. My eyes widened in a mixture of fear and amazement at the sheer size of him, there was no doubt in my mind that his hand was bigger than my face; and if he chose to do so, I could easily imagine him crushing my skull between his fingers. I gulped nervously and cleared my throat. I'm about to make a huge fool of myself, I can just feel it in my gut.

"Hi! I don't think we have met yet! My name is Amelia M. and I am new here! What's your name?" I said quickly in one breath. He didn't respond and instead just stared down at me with his creepy white eyes, I shifted awkwardly. "Well that's okay, you don't have to tell me your name if you don't want to, " I said stupidly. With a burning regret, my mouth opened against my will to continue. "You don't talk much do you? Well that's fine, I don't like to talk much neither-" lie "-I guess we're the weird ones-" his eyes narrowed at that and my eyes widened and I quickly held my hands up defensively, "not that its a bad thing! In fact its probably a good thing! who wants a blabbermouth anyway...hehehe, " I ended with an awkward laugh.

  He said nothing.

The entire caffeteria seemed to be holding its breath, waiting in anticipation to witness my fate.

  Then he began to move.

He placed his rough and freakishly large hands on either side of my waist and picked me up easily, as if I was a doll, and moved me over about three feet. I could no longer see through the glass doors, all I could see was his monstrous figure as he carefully settled himself into the place where I was just sitting. The table seemed dwarfed by his size. My eyes were wide in shock, the ghost of his hands wrapped around my waist terrified me. If he had squeezed me just a little tighter, his hands would have brushed eachother.

He silently took a slice of pizza and a chocolate cupcake off of my tray and started to eat, I watched him with eyes the size of saucers as he tossed the entire cupcake into his mouth, finishing it in a single bite...he finished the pizza in three bites.

After a few moments of complete silence he looked over at me, he was on his fourth slice of pizza. His hand abruptly reached over towards me, I stiffened in fear as his finger tips nudged the edge of the tray. He slowly pushed the tray until it was directly inbetween us on the table. I looked at him, our eyes connected for a moment before he looked away and continued to munch on my food. I cautiously reached my hand towards the only remaining pizza on the tray, the one I had originally bitten out of.

My hand froze halfway as he once again reached over, snatching the pizza off the tray. I looked at him again to find he was already looking at me. His lips pulled into a devious grin that was so small, I wasn't sure if I was seeing things or not. He never broke eye contact with me as he slowly took a giant bite out of the pizza. My face flushed a bright red. A tiny ghost of a smirk graced his lips, when he finished he abruptly stood up and stepped over the wrap around bench and began to walk away. Before he turned around though, he spared me one last look. He then disappeared out the door from where he came from. The caffeteria was once again filled with noise, I didnt move or utter a word however, just stared at the glass doors. I was suddenly knocked off of the bench and onto the floor, all I saw was a flash of bright pink before little hands gripped my shoulders and began to shake me.

"What the hell  was that!!" Pink screeched down at me, effectively sprinkling my face with a layer of spit. I grimaced and reached a hand up to whipe my face. Once I was sure my face was spit free I blinked up at her. She was straddling me on the floor, my legs from the knees down still rested on the bench.

"What are you talking about?" I asked her in confusion, she responded by glared down at me accusingly. She gave me the 'are you really that stupid?' look.

"You know exactly what im talking about! What in the world could have possesed you to sit at his table!?"  she once again screeched. I grimaced again, my ear drums were beginning to feel numb.

"Look, I didn't know okay!" I defended myself. She just rolled her eyes.

"Do you have eny idea what you've done? He could kill you!" she exclaimed. I snorted.

"I doubt he would do somehting like that," I said timidly, trying to convince myself mostly. She just glared. She suddenly stood up and stepped to the side, offering me a hand. I peered up at her curiously, but  none-the-less I took her hand. Once I was back on my feet she took hold of my hand and began to weave her ways through the tables, dragging me along behind her.

"That table is reserved for Cole Mathews and for Cole Mathews only, from now on you're sitting with me," she declared. Something inside me warmed at her words, I smiled slightly. It felt nice to be wanted for a change.
