He stared at the photo. The young couple in the photo, gazed lovingly into each other's eyes. To a complete stranger, they looked like the perfect couple.
He laughed bitterly, it was all just a huge lie. He threw the photo in the fireplace.
Anna Lachowski was standing outside her grandson's room, watching him destroy his parent's last memento. Her heart broke to see how cold-hearted Marlon had become.
She understood that growing up, Marlon had seen some things that no children should have seen. She wished she could have done more to protect her grandson. Maybe, he would have been less bitter.
She closed her eyes and prayed. "Dear god, have mercy on this child. Please send someone to help him take away the pain he has kept so long in his heart. Someone who will teach him how to love. Someone who can make my cold hearted grandson, human again."
