I take a deep breath as I look at myself in my bathroom mirror.
Love is something indescribable. And although I thought I knew what it was, it wasn’t until now I realized I was wrong. So wrong. Love isn’t about the frilly things and life’s gifts. It’s about being with one another through thick and thin, taking it on together. Supporting one and another. That’s why I’ve come to the decision I want this for the rest of my life.
I pat my pocket for the ring, triple checking it’s still there. I take one last breath before I walk out the bathroom door, ready for what’s next.
