The long road home

1891 January 14

~first person~

It's been four days since my mom wasn't home and I don't think shell even come back...

~back to normal~

Kylee sat in the corner of the room wondering why is her brother sitting in his room for four days.She went upstairs and knocked on her brothers door.a voice shouted "come in mom if thats you". Kylee came in and said "mom is not here four days and I think shell not return". Her brother, Rob stood up from his bed and said
"What do you mean Never return?!!??".Kylee didn't know what to answer so she just asked"why weren't you going out of your room for four days"."Rob rubbed his head and said"I'm scared ...war is coming...some kind of sickness is spreading and now our mom is missing ..."he started crying and Kylee sat on his bed near him and she said "pack your things we are going to find mom"she said it so confidently that Rob stopped crying and took out a big bag and started packing it.He packed some Medicine,some Band-Aids , picture of mom and dad(dad died in war),his teddy bear and some more stuff.After helping Rob pack his things   she went to her room took a small back pack and packed the half eaten cucumber ,their family picture and her save up money($56)and she took her favourite painting of flowers on their balcony .And then Kaylee took Rob and they went outside and saw.....
