Since that little incident I've been MIA. Chance has been blowing me up since he found out I left. I moved back home so that I can get my music and shit together. This time I'm focused on me and my success..... no distractions needed
Mom:hey honey, I'm going to go drive up to LA today you wanna come
Kehlani: why so I can help you drive (chuckle)
Mom:well yea that too, but my boss wanted me to meet some producers for one of his clients and I wanted you to meet them as well
Kehlani: sure I don't mind ...I'd be glad too
Mom: good because your dad and sisters all decided to leave us yesterday to go to some huge huge foreign car show in Vegas
Kehlani: how long are we going to be up there ??
Mom: just for the weekend
Kehlani: ok well let me go pack(walks up the stairs)
Mom: be ready in about 2 hours

Kehlani POV
We just got done putting out stuff in the car, which gives us enough time to get something quick to eat before we get on the road ....I'm kinda glad that I came home because I wouldn't wanna miss an opportunity like this and yea true enough there were connects in Chicago but not like the ones in LA
Mom: the main producer's name is Joseph King he's worked with big names celebrities during the 80's like Lionel Richie, Stevie wonder, and Michael Jackson. The one who I want you to work with is his daughter Ryan King. She's now working with artist like Chris Brown, Usher, August Alsina and even rappers like Migos and Future ....I think you'll like her because she sweet and out going, she kind of reminds me of you
Kehlani:(shakes her head yes and gives a bright smile)

In LA
Mom: we should rest for the rest of the day but tomorrow we gotta be up and ready to go meet them
Kehlani: ok that's fine ...while you get settled in at the I'll go get us something to eat , what do you have in mind
Mom: it doesn't matter as long as it doesn't contain too much salt (chuckles while laying down on bed)
Kehlani: well I'll be back
Mom: ok dear (sighs)
Kehlani's POV
I left the hotel to go get my mom and I something to eat. It started to rain as I got in the car to start it. As I was driving around looking for a place to eat at I spotted a woman outside in the rain on the side of the road. I'm not the type to deal with situations like this but I know if I was in the rain I wouldn't want anyone to leave me sitting in the side of the road.
Kehlani: ma'am do you need some help
Lady: yes please my car broke down a while back while on my way home from work I called my father but he isn't answering.
Kehlani: where do you stay? I'll give you a ride home
Lady: thank you (gets in car) by the way I'm Ryan but I go by Ry (shakes kehlani's hand)
Kehlani: oh I'm kehlani (shakes back)
Kehlani POV
She's actually really cool. I feel so bad that her car broke down. I would've been so shity if that happened to me.

The next morning
Mom: Imma go down for breakfast and start the car (closed door)
Kehlani POV
Shes such a morning person. I barely want to get up from last night. I was so tired because I didn't get in until 2. I wanted to make sure that lady got the help she needed. Anyways I took a shower and got dressed to head downstairs for breakfast. When I got down there my mom was already done with her food.
Mom: see this is why I don't like having you come to events with me because you never get up on time
Kehlani:(shakes head) I knew that was coming
Mom: here I made you a plate to go. He wants me to meet them at his private studio
Kehlani: see i knew you loved me (smiles extra hard)
Moms: (sighs and smiles)

At the Studio
Kehlani POV
We pulled up to this big ass mansion which had me in such shock. The yard was beautiful and well decorated. We got out the car and let valet park it while we walked in the house.
Mom: Mr.king(shakes his hand)
Thank you for inviting us
Mr.king: My pleasure I needed you here to help me anyways
Kehlani's POV
I continued to look around the house admiring its beauty.
Mom:king this is my daughter kehlani. She's an artist as well. She just got back from the Midwest working on a project.
Mr.king: (shakes kehlani's hand) oh really you should let me hear some of your work or better yet my daughter. She'll be here in a few
Kehlani:(smiles and shakes hand back) it would be an honor
