I wanted to apologize...

Jamie came to work the next week in a much better mood. It made her a bit unsettled by the fact there was an attractive raven-haired boy who always came at the same times, sat in the same booth, and only asked for her. Never once did he let someone else tend to him. She once asked him why, to which he responded by saying: "Because you're the kindest person here to me who doesn't just flirt. All the other guys hate my guts."
He shrugged. Even though he required her presence, all he ever really did was talk. Now that she started to think about it, she realized, the other women had began to whisper behind her, and the men tried to talk to her more. But why? Everyone knew she didn't date. Refused to. The girl wondered what on Earth they were thinking, but that could come later. She looked directly into his almost-silver eyes and told him, "Listen, my boss is getting angry, so unless you're going to buy something, I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
"Yes ma'am. I suppose I'll have to leave then." He got up abruptly, put his hands in his pockets and walked out.
One of the girls on her work-force came up and slapped her on the back. "Why did you make him leave? He's such good eye candy! Just looking at his muscles made most of us drool. No wonder the guys here have been complaining. He's obviously interested in you! Why don't you date?!"
"Because it's pointless. Plus, the doctor said a few months ago I'm not capable of getting pregnant apparently so..." the grim look on her face made her sharp cheekbones look low, making the brunette pity her all the more.
The brunette hugged the redheads short figure tightly. "I'm sorry... I didn't know."
"No one does, and I'd like to keep it that way, thank you." She let go of the taller girl and got back to work.
(Kaito)
Kaito knew he'd lied to her. But he had to watch her for now. Just for now. Just to make sure. Nobody could ever know he wasn't human. He paced outside the back door, waiting for the girl. It was sad he didn't know her name, considering how many times she'd likely told him. It wasn't like he didn't pay attention, he just wasn't good with names. When she finally came out, he asked for her name. "Jamie."
"That's quite lovely, did your mom or dad name you?"
"Not sure. Now, you tell me your name." His boyish facial features and slightly narrow eyes reminded her of a child. His pale skin made her reminisce the snow that used to fall when she was little.
"Kaito, my mom was Japanese."
"There a reason you were sitting out here waiting for me, Mr.Kaito?"
"No mister, please. I wanted to apologize for running into you and knocking your coffee out of your hands. You did leave bruises from pushing me though." He rubbed his chest as though remembering the bruises. His silverish eyes danced playfully across her face, taking in all her attributes.
"That was a week ago. And you're just now apologizing?" Despite his childish appearance and childish actions from what she had seen, his deep voice slightly shocked her. She'd heard it before,  but in a loud and crowded bar.
"I can take you out for coffee sometime to make it up if you'd like?"
"If you can find a decent coffee shop, that's fine. This is just to make up for making me drop my coffee, yes?" She received a nod. "Alright. I'm off on Tuesdays and Saturdays."
Kaito nodded once again, flipping his white hoodie up again. He'd had it for years, and felt less nervous having it on. It was slightly worn out, but it's not like he cared. He'd wear it in one-hundred degree weather. Just to have a sense of home.
Jamie pulled a sweater from her bag and pulled it on quickly. She chuckled quietly to herself. "Guess you were the guy who bumped into me."
He rubbed the back of his neck and grinned a bit. "Yeah, what else gave it away? Other than my confession, that is."
"Your hoodie. You were wearing it the same night you brought my cup back."
"More perceptive than I thought..." and may be an issue, he silently added to himself. His jaw clenched slightly in thought. At first, when he had been watching her, he wondered if she discovered anything or might become a problem, how he would get rid of her. Now, after getting to know the redhead better, he wondered if he could just keep her quiet. No, too risky. If she finds out, she must die.

(Jamie)
Jamie became a little nervous when she saw his jaw clench. He was thinking. But what about?
Kaito was definitely hiding something. She just had to figure out what it was.
Being as determined as she was, at some point in time, she would.
"So, are you new around here or have you just never gone outside and explored much?"
"I stay where my family needs me to stay. I only go out when needed to."
“Well, good for you.” She pat his shoulder and started walking home. “I'm out every day, so why don't I see you?”
“Maybe because you're not looking hard enough.” He smirked and split off from her, likely walking towards his own home. It was very cold after all.
When Jamie reached her apartment, she decided to go for a run. Try to adjust to the cold weather.
That's what she wished she was trying to do. Really, she was just trying to rid of the fear she held, the knowing she had that something or someone was watching her.
As soon as she stepped out the door, she felt something was wrong. A shriek tore through the air, and she slowly jogged towards it, as if to seem she didn't hear it and was simply on a run in that general direction.
And she had to see if it was him.
