Chapter 1

The sound of the waves hitting the boat hull woke me up. It was around midnight. I looked through the porthole all I could see was black. I didn't know what was the water and what was the sky. There were no differences. We were heading to Bermuda, an island in the Atlantic Ocean. I was on a cruise with my best friend Aurora. She was sleeping in the little single bed beside me. I closed my eyes and I re fell asleep really fast.

" Hey Kylie! Wake up, it's already 7 am. " Aurora said shaking my sleepy body. I sat in my bed not wanting to get up.

" Come on, we need to be ready soon if we want to spend more time at the beach. " She shouted from the tiny bathroom. I got out of my comfortable bed and headed to the closet. I grabbed a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and a bikini.

" Then get out of the bathroom. We can't be two in it. " I said standing on the door frame.

" Okay, but hurry. You are always slow. " She added. She was right though, I'm such a slow person. I don't like to be rush and I enjoy taking my time. Aurora left the bathroom and I entered to get dress. I brushed my teeth and put my long blonde hair into a high pony tail. I applied some make up and I was finally ready to leave for breakfast.

We were going to the buffet on deck 12. It was so crowded. Everyone was there early so they could go and see the island. We found a table next to a big widow. It looked very pretty outside.

After my third croissants and some bacon, I was quite full. We had all our things ready for the beach so we went straight to deck 4, where we could exit the boat.

" Your card Miss. " The security guard said. I handed my boat card to him and he scanned it. He did the same to Aurora and we got out. It was sunny and very hot. We took two beach towels from the towel stand and waited for a city bus to take us to a beach.

One bus arrived and we entered. It was weird for us that the steering wheel was at the right since we are Americans. It was like in the UK.

The bus driver brought us to a beach not far from the port. It was gorgeous. The water was so clear and had a beautiful color. They were big rocks on the side of the beach; the waves were hitting on them. We found a spot to put our towels on the sand. I removed my flip flop and took them in my hand. The sand was burning my feet. I dropped my towel and lay on it with my back facing the sun. I wanted to get a tan because I was so white. Aurora did the same.

" We should go in the water. It's getting hot here. " She said after a little while. I moved my head to the right and left letting her know that I didn't want to. I was comfortable even if it was hot.

" We didn't come here just to look at the beautiful water! We need to get in it. " Aurora shouted. She was right. I decided to go and got up. We walked to the water. The temperature was great, so we jumped in it and swam further so we could be in the bigger waves. It was crowded. All the kids were on their board trying to do some body surfing but it wasn't very successful.

I was talking to Aurora and I didn't even notice the big wave that was about to hit me. I did some flips in the water to finally hit something hard. I had bumped into someone. I managed to pull my head out of the water. I was coughing and my eyes were burning.

" I'm so sorry " I said to the stranger while I was trying to catch my breath.

" No problem. Are you okay? " The boy said laughing. I tried to redo my hair because it was all messed up. That boy was really hot.

" Yeah. " I told him. I was probably blushing because I could feel it on my cheeks.

" What's your name? " He asked smiling.

" Kylie. What is yours? " He had blue eyes and blonde hair.

" That's a pretty name. I'm Niall. " he said. We talked for a few minutes. I could see Aurora who had gotten out of the water and went back on the shore. She was staring at me and probably dying of wanting to know who he was. A guy with darker hair approached us.

" Niall, were all hungry. We saw a little restaurant down the road. Are you coming with us? " The guy said.

" Yeah! I present you Kylie. I just met her. " Niall shouted.

" Hey! I'm Zayn. " I smiled at him.

" Sorry I gotta go. Nice to meet you Kylie! " Niall said and winked at me.

" I hope will see each other again. " I followed him to the shore. I waved at him and walked in the direction of my friend.

" Who is he? Who is he? " She said more excited than me. I laughed at how ridiculous she sounded.

" Calm down! His name is Niall. " I told her.

" Oh god, he's gorgeous and he has an interest in you. It's wonderful. " Aurora shouted with too much enthusiasm.

" I know. We can't say he's not pretty but I talked to him like what? 5 minutes? I probably won't see him again. " I added.

" Of course you will! Don't be negative. He's probably on our boat." Aurora shouted.

" I'm not negative only realistic. " I added. I looked back to see if I could see Niall. He had already left with Zayn and his other friends. I would have liked to know if he was on our boat. Let's hope Aurora is right and that I'll see him again.
