A small, white haired, figure walks down the church's hallway, a frown on their face as voices echo through the empty space around them.
The figure attempts to make out what the voices are discussing, but they ultimately fail and give up, their frown deepening as they continue their walk.
By now its dark outside, fogging up the few visible windows as the weather chills down, also causing the floorboards to cool. This causes the figure to slightly speed up, wanting to get back to their bed.
They had simply woken up after getting the odd feeling someone had been watching them, and had decided that maybe a small glass of water would help.
A chill runs down their spine and they stop, turning around as a fake polite smile crosses their face on impulse. "H-hello, may I help you?"
There, right in front of them is a tall male with long white hair and peircing golden eyes.
'When did he get here? I hadn't heard any footsteps?'
"Oh, not at all. I was just passing by." The man states with a smile while tilting his head slightly, but the smile didn't reach his eyes, and the atmosphere around him was less than welcoming.
The smile drops for a second, and he seems to have 'remembered' something. "Actually, there is something you can help me with." The smile grows.
"Could you help me find my way outside once more?"

"My name is Karlheinz, may I ask yours?" The man asks the other as they walk down the hall.
"My name is Kohitsuji, it is a pleasure to meet you, sir." Kohitsuji smiles kindly, turning his head slightly to look at Karlheinz.
"Kohitsuji? That's a name I've had yet to hear, for a male, its unique."
Kohitsuji notices the mans small, secretive smile, and his expressiom changes to taken aback. His stomach churns before he nods timidly. "I-I guess so..."
Both males share a moment of silence before Kohitsuji hears another question. "So, Kohitsuji, how old are you?"
"I-I'm 17, sir..." The smaller white haired male mutters, trying to conceal his stuttering, but ultimately failing.
"How about school?"
"I- Uh... I go to a school here" He replies, wishing the man stop asking questions.
"Oh, I see. Anyways, this is the exit, so I'll be on my way. Until we meet again, Kohitsuji." Kohitsuji hears the man say before leaving in the blink of an eye.

"I-I didn't see him go out the door, but I know that he had left..." Kohitsuji says timidly, looking down at his feet. "I don't think it was a dream, d-do you have any idea who that man was, Father?" He asks, unsure of himself.
"Kohitsuji, theres something I need to tell you." The man across from him says, smiling almost sadly. "About the man you saw last night."
"W-what is it?!" The white haired boy asks frantically, slightly relived it wasn't a dream, but at the same time uneasy.
"The man, as you said, is called Karlheinz." The man starts by stating the obvious. "He came by yesterday because we have come to an agreement."
Kohitsuji feels his stomach churn, similar to the way it had the night before.
"The plan is for him to give one of our students a place to live while they attend a night school for a better education." The mans smile looks forced, and his tone was changing too much for the statement to be completely true.
Kohitsuji picks up on this, but ignores the feeling telling him to turn his back and run.
"The reason I'm telling you this is because you are the student we have chosen."
