Bestfriends? • Jimin

JIMIN POV

"Yah! Park Jimin!"

I turned around just to be greeted by no other than Yoo Jeongyeon, my childhood bestfriend. We are neighbours and we grew up together.  She ran towards me to join me on the lunch table. Summer just ended and we began school today. Both of us are in 11th grade.

"What brings you here? Dont you usually hang out with Jihyo and that senior dude?" I raised an eyebrow while looking at the girl in front of me.

"His name is Taecyeon." She shrugged and took out her phone.

"You havent answer my question tho."

"Why are you even asking? Cant I spend some time with my bestfriend?" Jeongyeon adverted her gaze from her phone to me. Our eyes met and I suddenly froze. I could feel my heart rate  increase.

God why is this happening again.

I glanced at the girl that was sitting in front of me. We knew each other for so long, but since when did I begin falling for her? I mentally sighed.

"Uhm. Jimin? You still there?" Suddenly someone knocked on my head a few times bringing me back to reality. That was when I only noticed I was spacing out.

"Im sorry, I just thought of a report that I needed to hand in to Ms. Kim before homeroom. Gotta go bye!" I packed my stuff and sped towards the main building. Great Jimin. What a grrreeeeaaaat excuse. Totally not obvious aaaaaattttt allllll. *mentally rools eyes.*

I made my way to the restroom and splashed some water on my face.

Wake up Jimin. Chill. We are and always will be only bestfriends

I sighed as I walked out and went to class.

THIRD PERSON POV

Jimin was in class. He sat with his group of friends, also known as BTS.

"Hey Chimchim. Is something bothering you?" Namjoon, their trusty leader asked.

"Huh? Nothing. Why?" Jimin replied.

"Well, you seem like you're deep in thought as if something is fussing you." He continued.

"I agree, you seem a bit off today." Taehyung added.

Just then, a few girls entered the classroom.

JIMIN POV

Why ?
Why out of all possible time and places did you choose to appear right now?

I stared at her laughing with her friends. She is such a simple casual girl. No fancy outfits, no heavy makeup... Slightly tomboyish but still looking cute and attractive in just a plain t shirt, skinny jeans and a pair of  converse... I knew I had already fell for this unique girl. I too knew that she has been what's bothering my mind lately.

Yoo Jeongyeon

"Jimin-ah. I think I know what's up with you now." Reality hit me as I saw the boys smirking at me.

"You like Jeongyeon dont you?" Jin smirked as he asked.

"Why would you assume that?" I fought back. Not wanting to admit to this little crush.
