(Luke's POV)Im stuck in my room and my mom won't let me leave until she's done talking to the guest with my siblings. Who is here anyway? I'm sitting with my back to the door, listening, a female? Why is there a girl here? I tilt my head back in calm frustration. Suddenly I hear foot prints leading to my room, I stand as the door opens. Terren, my older brother, opens the door with a smile, "Mother found a girl for you." He motioned to me to follow him to the kitchen where everyone else stands waiting for me. As I enter the room the girl steps forward, I study her appearance as she talked, "Hello Luke, it's been awhile. I don't know if you remember me but we went to school together, I'm Lucy." I said nothing as I looked her over, long blonde hair, slightly darkened hair actually, bright Green eyes that looked as if they were reading me like a one page book, shorter than me, maybe two inches or three? A big smile painted on her pale slightly red tinted face. She was quite the image to see, "Why are you here exactly, Lucy?" It sounded rude, and it was but I don't care. "Well you see I've found my old dear friend was having problems and I really want to help him. Ms. Duran, may I speak with him privately?" She said turning to my mother. She nodded and ushered my siblings out of the room. Lucy leaned against the counter, looking at her nails, the look in her eyes changed and so did her tone of voice, "Listen Luke, I know of all the bad things you've done after I left this place in 3rd grade. I came back a few years ago after I graduated early a few towns over. I'm now 17 as are you. I'm here to help you now." I glared at her, I was surprised with how strait forward she is. "How are going to help me? Huh? I'm intrigued," I said in a tone that read aloud, "you're boring me" she straitened her posture and took a step forward, "Luke I'm not here to help cure your insanity if that's what you think, I'm here to use it, to help you hide it." My eyes opened wide and I swallowed visibly. I couldn't talk I was so surprised by her words. How could she help me? What does she mean by use my insanity? Her smile grew, "you're not the only crazy one in this damned town. You are just the one who can't conceal his actions. You will be my pawn. You will do everything I ask and you'll love it, I promise. Meet me by the old elementary school tomorrow at 3 pm and we will start your 'training'" With that she swiftly yet gracefully left my house. I stood there dumbfounded as my mother walked into the kitchen, "Everything alright dear?" She asked in a low voice. "Yes mother. All is well." I replied in an empty tone. "So the girl?" She stepped closer. I snapped out of whatever trace I was in and gave her a smile, "She is lovely mother. I quite like her, she is rather odd though. I like it." I walked away to go to my room as she called after me, "that's great honey. I love you!" I didn't stop walking and just replied with, "mhmm you too."
I layed in the middle of the floor and every time I closed my eyes I saw the same image, Lucy in her thin white dress that flowed effortlessly as she moved, she turned away and as she walked out the door she turned so I could get a last glimpse at her bright emerald green eyes. I could have sworn her eyes used to be brown or hazel at least. They're different now then when she was a child, unnaturally different. Me, I look the same. Short, but not too short, dark brown, curly hair, dark blue eyes, light skin and freckles doting my cheeks. Anyone could recognize me if they met me previously but she is different now. Her hair is a darker blonde, her eyes green instead of brown, and her hair is strait rather than curled but she could have just did that herself. Ever time I close my eyes as I lay here I see her leaving my house, the same image every time. I studied her but I can't read her, and now I can't get her off my mind.
