Yondu and His Prize

From Earth to Space

As long as you could remember you were always into bad boys. And living with Ravagers was where you felt safe. Even though they took you from your home, you were starting to fit in and find your place in the Ravager life. You had fallen for a grumpy captain that wasn't necessarily a good mate. He was abusive both mentally and physically but you forgave him everytime he lashed out at you.
"You have to remember, I'm a Ravager, and not Terran." He would say. Until one day all of it changed.
You, the captain, and the crew were going on a mission to thieve when they decided to make a quick stop at a bar. At these bars hundreds of Ravagers come to drink and sleep around. You always liked going there since it was fun and you could escape the captain for a little while. But today was different. He wouldn't let you leave his sight. Every time you would go to walk away he would grab your arm and jerk you back to his side. The last time you tried to get away, he was fed up with you trying to escape. He jerked you to him, slapped you right across the face and then grabbed your face and pushed you against the wall,
"Why you trying to get away from me girl! You belong to me!" You could tell he was drunk. You could smell the alcohol on his breath but this was no excuse to treat a woman this way, Terran or not. You then heard a loud whistle echo through the bar that made everyone stop what they were doing and caused a wave of silence. The captain turned around to see a bright red arrow pointed right at his head. The blue Ravager who was pointing the arrow at him walked closer to him with his crew not far behind,
"You leave that girl alone and I'll let you live."
"She's mine! I can do whatever I want to her. Who are you to say anyway?!" The captain lashed out at the blue man.
"I'm Yondu Udonta, Ravager captain. I can see that you are a captain as well. We can make a deal as long as you leave that girl alone."
Why was this random captain trying to protect you? You started to have a panic attack with all the arguing so you decided to sit down to calm yourself. Your captain perked up at the sound of a deal,
"A deal huh? What kinda deal you talkin about?" Yondu walked closer to your captain, "100,000 units for the girl." Your captain turned around and looked at you then looked back at Yondu.
"100,000 units huh? I can work with that." You couldn't believe your ears. He was willing to trade you for units?! What a piece of shit. He turned to you again and picked you up roughly then threw you towards Yondu.
"Now where are my units?!" He demanded. Yondu jumped over you and ran at the captain, grabbing his arrow from the air. He knocked the captain down and was on top of him with the arrow in his hand.
"I told you to leave that girl alone! Now you get no units and no woman. Congrats. You played yourself."
"What the fuck You talkin about man? Give me the damn units!" The captain layed a fist across Yondu mouth, busting his lip open. Yondu kept his head to the side and smiled a crooked smile. His teeth, crooked, sharp, with a silver cap on one of them.
"You might want to rethink what you just did buddy." Yondu said while getting up and walking away from the captain that still laid on the floor.
"Ya that's right! Walk away prick!" The captain yelled. Yondu stopped in his tracks and gave out a loud, quick whistle. And with that, your captain was gone. A sudden rush of emotion ran over your whole body. You were mad at Yondu, sad at your captain dying and almost sick at your stomach at the sight of seeing blood gush out of your captain's chest. You got up stumbling from what you think was a broken leg caused by your captain throwing you, he was a strong one. You pushed passed Yondu and fell to your knees at your captains lifeless body.
"How could you do this?!" You yelled at Yondu with tears rushing down your face.
"What you mean? I just saved you from that piece of shit. You should thank me!" Yondu yelled back.
"I can save myself thank you!" You said to the blue Ravager.
"Ya because that's what it looked like. Is that how they treat women on earth? No wonder you were with that bastard!" Yondu yelled back.
"You'd be surprised actually. How'd you know I was Terran? You know what it doesn't even matter! We were minding our own business and you came strutting in with your crew and decided to go on a killing spree. What the fuck is wrong with you?" You were so angry at him by this point. You got up from the lifeless body of your captain and ran towards Yondu, hitting and pushing on his chest. He didn't even budge. He was strong. You could feel his muscular chest with every blow of your fists. "Just go away! Get out of here!"
"Calm down would ya. I ain't goin nowhere without you." He smirked while grabbing your wrists to keep you from hitting him.
"You are going nowhere with me, you've lost your mind."
"I may have, but that was part of the deal. Kraglin could you get her for me?" Yondu motioned to a scrawny little Ravager that was behind him then walked out of the bar.
"Yes sir." He said shyly.
"Come on girl we'll take care of you." He smiled slightly. His smile was reassuring.
"You look like you're in pretty bad shape. We'll fix you up." After thinking about if you should go with them or not you decided to go. You really didn't have anyone else in this horrid galaxy so why not? You smiled slightly,
"Okay." You began to walk but you stumbled to the ground from your injured leg.
"Come on! I need some help over here!" Kraglin yelled at the rest of the crew.
"Fuck it." A big, purple Ravager said and walked over to you and Kraglin. The Ravager picked you right up in his arms. You were surprised he could carry you but he was indeed huge. You looked at his scarred and beaten up face and smiled,
"Thank you."
"No problem. Anything for the captain. I'm Taserface. And you are?" He asked looking down at you.
"I'm y/n nice to meet you, Taserface." You said with a giggle.
"Ugh! Why does everyone laugh when I say my name?!" He was getting irritated so you let it go. He began walking to exit the bar, with Kraglin and the rest of the crew not far behind. You then reached a huge Ravager ship and boarded it. The inside was a lot different from the one you were used to. This one was cold, covered in huge metal plates, and not to mention very dark. You reached a control room where the blue captain was sitting in a chair at the front of the ship. You could see little nicknacks on his console which made you smile, he's probably a big softy.
"Where you want me to put her cap'n?" The big purple ravager asked.
"My room is fine for now." He said withought turning his head. Taserface then carried you through what seemed like a 100 mile long hallway.
"We're here." He said while walking into the room and putting you down on the bed. "Kraglin will take care of your injuries. I'm done here." You nodded,
"Okay, thanks." Kraglin then walked in with a whole bucket full of doctoring supplies. He began to wrap your leg up, you flenching at the pain,
"Ya, it's definitely broken. Your captain was a mean one." Kraglin said.
"He was. But he was all I knew. That bastard picked me up on earth when I was only a girl, did his best to take care of me, then when I got old enough, used me for his pleasure. That's all him and his crew did." Looking up from the leg he was wrapping,
"Sounds intense. Yondu would like to hear that. Would make his killing more meaningful." Kraglin responded.
"Is that all he does? Go around killing people?" You asked curiously.
"Mostly. And thieving. But when he kills its for a reason. Doesn't just do it for the hell of it. Well your legs all good for now. You won't want to walk on it for a while. I'll get ya some crutches. Taserface can't carry you everywhere." He said jokingly. You smiled putting your hand on your wrapped up leg. "When I get back I'll tend to your face. Looks like your cap'n did a number on that too." You nodded as he walked out of the room. You looked around the dark space examining the blue Ravager's room closely. It was surprisingly neat, not messy like your old captain's. You liked the order though. You were interrupted by some yelling out in the hallway. It sounded like Kraglin and Yondu but you couldn't make out what they were saying. Then you heard Yondu's voice getting closer,
"Why the hell is that Terran in my room?"
"You told Taserface to put her in there sir. We don't really have anywhere else to put her." Kraglin reminded him.
"Well, we need to find a new space for her soon. Don't want that varmint dirtying up my place." Yondu shot back at him. You clinched your fists in anger that he called you a varmint, but let it go when you saw Kraglin walk in the room.
"I'm sorry it took so long. Cap'n stopped me in the hallway wondering what I was doing with crutches. He blows up over the smallest things."
"Ya, I heard it all trust me." You rolled your eyes.
"He didn't mean anything by it. He's just a little protective of his stuff is all. Now let me look at that face." He went to touch your face when you jumped back from his hand moving toward you.
"Hey, it's alright I'm not gonna hurt you." "Sorry it's just instinct." You frowned. He proceeded to clean the dried blood off of your brow that was caused by your captain's hand, which reminded you,
"Don't you need to fix Yondu's lip? I saw it was busted after my captain laid it on him."
"Oh no. The captain takes care of that stuff on his own. He thinks he'll turn soft if he lets someone tend to him like that." Kraglin said worried.
"He sounds like a stuck up douche to me. I would rather be with my old captain than to spend a day with that blue jerk."
"Trust me you'll get used to him. He's really a good guy. Just take your time." Kraglin reassured you. You nodded your head.
"Okay your face is all done. Want a change of clothes? Food?"
"Food would be nice thank you." You answered quick. Kraglin smirked,
"Want me to bring it in here to you or you want to try out the crutches?"
"I think I'll try the crutches." He nodded and handed them to you. You scooted off the bed and jumped up on your non-injured leg for balance. You then began to walk with the crutches, shaky at first.
"Easy. Slow and steady now." Kraglin coached you.
"Follow me." Kraglin began to lead the way into the dark hallway.
"The cafeteria is just down this way." Kraglin motioned down the hall with his thumb. You nodded and followed him until you reached a huge room with tons of tables that had Ravagers scattered here and there. You spotted the captain talking to Taserface. He pointed at you and Yondu turned his head smiling, showing his crooked teeth. Kraglin then stopped and turned to you,
"You can go sit with them, I'll get you some food." You nodded,
"Thank you." You crutched your way towards Yondu and Taserface when a large Ravager jumped in front of you,
"What's a pretty lady like you doing on a Ravager ship? Are you Yondu's prize?" He licked his lips in a perverted way.
"You better back up from her now!" You heard a loud voice say. When the Ravager moved away from you slowly, you could see Yondu standing up with his arrow shining.
"Now what did I tell y'all bout messing with the girl? If anyone is getting her it's me! And I don't even know if I want her. So y'all leave her alone or you'll get a kiss from ole Ruby here, got it?" Yondu asked his crew while patting his arrow.
"Sir!" The Ravagers responded. Yondu walked up to you grabbing your arm,
"I'm sorry about that. Some these boys don't know how to control themselves." You giggled, "It's okay. I've dealt with worse." Kraglin then showed up with a tray full of food,
"I didn't know what you liked so I got you a little bit of everything." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Thank you so much" you said with a smile. He nodded and started to hand you your tray,
"I've got it from here boy, thanks for the help." Yondu took the tray and sent Kraglin on his way.
"Now lets get you a seat so you can get some food. You look pretty hungry."
"I sure am. Old captain didn't feed me much. Said Terran girls don't deserve food." You said with a frown.
"Glad I ended that shameful bastard. He didn't even deserve to call himself a Ravager. We may be savage but we have to respect women, Terran or not." You smiled slightly and followed Yondu to a table where he sat you down, then sat across from you. You looked down at the tray in front of you but didn't really want anything you saw. You suddenly lost your appetite and got sick to your stomach. You then felt light headed and fell to the floor. Everything went dark.
When you woke up you were in Yondu's bedroom again. Yondu was sitting at the foot of the bed with his arms on his knees.
"What the fuck happened?" You asked. Yondu jolted around and shouted with excitement, "You're awake thank goodness. You had me worried girl. Kraglin said you got some head injury. Guess it was caused by your cap'n. Said you need to rest in bed for a while."
"Now that you mention it, my head is killing me." You put your hand to your head in hopes to stop the pounding.
"Let me get Kraglin, he'll get ya some meds." "Thank you." You smiled at the blue man. He was gone for a while which made you start to worry but then Kraglin walked in the room, "Glad to see you awake. Heard you had a headache. These will take care of it." He handed you two small white pills and a glass of water.
"You'll need to rest a while. I think you got a concussion when your captain threw you. You should be good in a couple of days."
"Thank you." You said then proceeded to take the pills. You then laid on your side to rest a little. You ended up falling asleep and woke up to some commotion coming from the hallway.
