I continued in detail to Kyle about the story of my stalker. Kyle is the first person I have told since the nightmare had started, other than the people around me when it was happening.
I turned to Kyle and began.
"The 47 year old had worked with my mother for the same magazine. He was paparazzi and always handed in pictures of celebrities in their homes. Within inside their premises. He was obviously getting too close than what he should have been.
Since I was a little girl he had freaked me out. Always creeping me out when ever I visited my mothers office, while she was at work.
I can still remember what he looked like and how he smelled. He was a dirty old man and always smelled of alcohol. He had a grey stubble and wore a fisherman's jacket with big brown boots.
From what I got told by my auntie my mother went to school with him and he was just the same back when he was 15. He would leave notes in her locker. And everyone in school would wind my mother up about him and call the stalker her 'boyfriend'. This didn't help his obsession with my mother at all, he would believe the sarcasm and think he was her boyfriend. It all went down hill when he asked her to the prom when they had finished their exams. She declined his offer as she went with another boy. My father. The future pap did not take it lightly, apparently he started tormenting my father too.
It all calmed down after they left school, the torments and love notes stopped. Until he found out where my mother applied for her first big shot job. He started working with my mother when they had finished college and university. There weren't any notes like high school but it didn't mean there wasn't any stares and creepy behaviour."
Kyle gently grabbed my cheeks with his hands and placed his soft lips onto them. He wrapped his arms around me and told me to go on if I still wanted to.
I had to, I needed to get it off my chest to someone I could trust, someone I knew wouldn't leave me.
"Anyway, after they d-died it was obviously a hard time for anyone to have lost their parents. I was young and struggled with it. I had my auntie move into my house and become my Career for the first year. That's when he surfaced again."
