The next day I woke up early in the morning and hurriedly got ready to go to Stevens' house. I was running towards the beach house and was almost out of breath. I knocked on the door multiple times feeling frantic. Garnet opened the door and let me come in.
"Did you hear about what happened?" I asked.
"Yes we did." Pearl said while sitting on the couch.
Pearl looked distressed. I didn't want her to feel that way but I didn't know how I could help.
"Is there any way I can help?" I asked.
Garnet hummed and put a finger on her chin, deep in thought.
"Well...you can't help much right now but you can help in the future if you learn sword fighting."
"Where can I learn that?"
"Me." Pearl said.
"Oh of course. Will it be a bother though?" I asked Pearl.
"No not at all. I enjoy having your company and I will enjoy teaching you something that I do." Pearl smiled.
I smiled back but then Pearl frowned.
"If you don't mind (y/n) we need to figure out a plan of action against these gems." Garnet said.
"Oh ok. I'll just go since I can't really help right now." I said and put a hand on the back of my neck.
I left the beach house and decided I would try to keep my mind off of those bad gems. I went back home and did my favorite hobbies for the rest of the day.
The next day I woke up early in the morning and got ready. I pulled my hair into a ponytail (or combed hair), grabbed my bag, and went out. When I got to Stevens' house I knocked on the door. Nobody answered. I tried to open the door and surprisingly it was unlocked. I looked around and it looked the same as it did last time I was here. I decided to go on the warp pad to go to the barn but then I remembered I'm not a gem so I couldn't do that. I sighed and waited on the couch for their return.
It was evening already. I hadn't eaten anything all day. I was too worried to. My leg bounced up and down and I figeted with my fingers. Then the warp pad activated and the gems and Steven were there. Well, almost all the gems were there.
"Where's Pearl?" I asked worriedly.
Garnet showed me the gem in her hand that was Pearl. I gasped and put a hand over my mouth. Then I reached out for the gem and held it. I saw water was dripping onto the gem. Then I realized it was my tears. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I saw it was Garnet.
"She'll be ok. She just needs to rest from the fight." Garnet said.
"O-ok." I said.
Garnet, Amethyst, and Steven explained what had happened. The bad gems were rubies and they fought them because they wanted to get rid of the Crystal Gems. After the explaining Steven asked Garnet to make some food since he was starving. I was starving too but I didn't feel like eating. I looked sadly at Pearls' gem. Amethyst sat by me and put an arm around my shoulder.
"I know you like her a lot. Just know it will be ok." Amethyst said.
"H-how did you know I felt that way about her? Is it that obvious?" I asked.
Amethyst laughed.
"Yeah it kind of is. I can see it in your eyes."
I blushed and looked away.
"Hey I think Pearl likes you too. She talks about you all the time." Amethyst said and nudged me with her elbow and winked at me.
I blushed more and slightly smiled. The food was ready and I decided to eat a little bit since it wasn't healthy to starve myself. After the meal I helped clean the dishes. I asked Garnet if I could keep Pearl with me until she appears again. She said yes and I smiled. It was getting late so I said my goodbyes and went back home. I laid Pearl on a pillow next to me on my bed and fell asleep.
