Natasha
The wind blew through my hair as I stared at the moon, shining so radiantly in the sky. I sighed deeply. My father was becoming somewhat of an annoyance as of late. I did love him, but he was getting to be very infuriating.
"At least now I have some time to myself."
I breathed out an appreciative sigh. I quite enjoyed the peace and quiet of the night. The bushes rustled slightly. I listened carefully and heard it again, a rustle so slight that even with my advanced hearing I could barely pick it up.
"Who are you?" I called into the darkness, suddenly I saw glowing grey eyes and I knew exactly what it was. I bared my fangs and hissed threateningly.
"Show yourself. I know you're out there." I growled. I heard a chuckle and out of the shadows stepped a man, and I gasped.
He was positively stunning. He had messy black hair, chiselled features, a lean muscular build and beautiful grey eyes. I didn't notice I was staring until he spoke.
"See something you like princess?" he questioned teasingly. I snapped out of my daydream and glared at his handsome face. No. I mentally chastised myself. I turned my head toward him just to see that he was no longer there.
"Boo."
His breath tickled my ear. I yelped and nearly jumped out of my skin. I turned around to see him laughing so hard he was actually bent over clutching his stomach and roaring with laughter.
"You should have seen the look on your face!"
I scowled and slammed my knee into his face, sending him flying, "Don't you laugh at me mutt." I snarled at the audacity of this werewolf. He moaned in pain, clutching his nose and rolling on the ground. I watched him as I tried and failed to contain my laughter.
"Oww, that hurt. You hit hard for a girl." he muttered. I glared at him again, getting another smirk in return. I was getting more and more irritated with this werewolf.
"Why are you even here? Shouldn't you be somewhere else, namely not here?" I asked. His smirk dropped immediately and I vaguely noticed a slight chill in the air.
"No, not anymore." he answered softy. I quickly realised the reason he was alone and how harsh my words must have sounded to him.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have–" I started before he interrupted me.
"Don't worry about it," he cut me off and recovered his grin, "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Mason, and you are?" he asked.
"I'm Natasha.... Dracul." I answered hesitantly.
"Wait a second, do you mean–" he began before I cut him off.
"Yes. I am the vampire princess."
Mason
"So, princess. Why are you out of your castle by yourself?" I asked her curiously. I was a bit taken aback when she glared at me.
"That's none of your business." she snapped, her tone icy.
"Geez, sorry I asked." I mumbled, confused at the sudden change in her behaviour. What's her problem? I wondered. I shrugged and looked up at the sky. The sun was starting to rise.
"Uh, Princess, I think you should probably get going. It's almost sunrise." I pointed out to her.
"Huh?" was her intelligent reply and I held back a chuckle. Was she always this distracted?
"The sun is about to set, so maybe you should go before you, ah, bite the dust." I said, extending my earlier statement.
"Very well. Will you be here again?" she asked.
"Most likely not. But don't get too down about it. Now, I bid you adieu, princess." I responded with a bow and she giggled softly before pausing and clearing her throat.
"Goodbye, Mason." she said curtly, and with that, she turned and walked off.
"Ah, this feels so good."
I sighed in pleasure and shut my eyes at the sensation of water rushing down my back. I loved waterfalls. I opened my eyes and thought back to the other night. I briefly wondered why she was out there.
I stretched and started walking just to suddenly catch a scent. It was about time for me to hunt anyway. I took off running towards the direction of the scent, one that I knew all too well. Deer. I licked my lips. Deer was my favourite prey. Unfortunately, seeing as how they flee at the first sign of danger, it was quite difficult to catch many of them alone, especially when they scattered in different directions. I pondered it for a minute and then ran off in the direction of the scent.
I ran deep into the forest until I stopped behind some bushes. I peered through them to see a large herd of more than 50 deer. The strangest herd I'd ever seen. And the biggest, my inner wolf growled hungrily. I waited until a doe came too close to the bushes where I was hiding and then I pounced, clamping my fangs onto its neck and holding on with my claws as it tried to throw me off, causing the others to flee in panic. The deer struggled for a few more seconds before going limp. I let it fall to the ground, blood slowly oozing into a puddle from its wounds.
I slashed its throat to ensure its demise before shifting and digging in. Halfway through my meal, I heard a rustle in the bushes. My head snapped up and I snarled in the general direction of the sound. I kept my eyes trained at the bushes and a silver-haired woman stepped out. I shifted back to human form in shock.
"Natasha?"
