Months went by in a flash. Dom and Letty were currently on their honeymoon in Cuba and we couldn't be happier for them. Business at the garage was great and we changed our menu for the dinner. Mia and I did a little remodeling, but we still left that early 2000s vibe. Working with the family is the greatest thing we could've done.
While Bekah and Jess napped in the back room, the other kids were in the garage helping their dads with the cars.
"Anyone hungry?" I asked as I walked into the garage. Leilani ran up to me, "Me! Mommy, can I have a sandwich?"
"Sure thing baby girl! What do you want on it?" I ask as I wrote down her order. "Turkey!"
"Me too, momma!" Gabriel yelled from the back of the car. He was helping Brian change some wiring in the trunk.
"Ok, 2 turkey sandwiches, anything else? Boys? Jack, do you want anything baby?" I asked and he replied, "Peanut butter and jelly!"
Han stepped out from behind the hood while wiping his hands on a rag and kissed me, "Can I get a water and your number hottie?"
"Haha! Smooth. But you've had my number for more than a decade, and guess what, we have kids!" I state giggling. Han acted surprised as he gasped, "What do they look like?!" He finally broke and laughed with me. "You want anything to eat, love?"
"Nah. I'll be inside in a little for my break. Brian's hungry though."
I kissed Han on his cheek and walked over to Bri and asked, "What are you hungry for?"
Brian wiped the sweat from his brow and then smirked, "Tell Mia to make me her famous Tuna sandwich and i'll have a coffee with it."
I shake my head because he knows damn well that the tuna is nasty, but it's cute that he and Mia can joke about it because it's what brought them together in the first place.
I walked inside and let Mia know the orders. As Mia was making the sandwiches, Jess started crying.
"I got her." I said as I wipe my hands and head to the back room.
"Hey, sweet girl. It's ok." I exclaim in a soft calm voice. The cries then turned to whimpers. She just needed to be rocked back to sleep. After she was in her basinet again, I closed the room door and helped Mia carry everything out to the kids and our husbands.
"Two turkey sandwiches and a PB&J for the kiddos and a terrible Tuna for my husband. Jae has the coffee, water and juice pouches." Mia said as I got the kids to go wash their hands quickly and sit in a corner. We gave them their food and handed out their drinks.
"Thanks babe." Han and Bri called out at the same time. Mia and I laughed and said, "Your welcome." Mia stayed in the back while I went back up to the front. She deserves a break for all the hard work shes been doing these past few weeks.
It was around 4:35 pm when Mia and I decided to close the store today. Not many people come on a Monday anyway.
"I think we deserve a break, don't you?" I asked Mia as we walked home. We were pushing strollers while the boys were walking hand in hand with the kids and talking the usual car talk.
Mia smiled and said, "That'd be great, but who'd watch the shop?"
"No one, silly. We all go." I giggle. "And where would we go? We would have to give the customers notice before hand. We can't just up and leave." Mia states.
I scoff, "The hell we can! We are the owners. We don't need to explain ourselves. And its not forever, its just for a week or two, maybe visit someplace we haven't before, definitely not one of our run away destinations."
Mia laughed and I smiled. We both stopped and looked at one another, her thinking about her decision and me staring with pleading eyes.
"...fine. But no more than two weeks!" Mia smiled. I threw my fist in the air and whispered, "Yes!" Causing Mia to giggle at my childish ways and we continued to walk down the street and approach our homes.
"We should go to the Bahamas, OUUU no! Hawaii!" I stated excitedly as Brian helped Mia carry the stroller up the steps of their home and Han and I up the stairs of ours.
"What are you planning?" Brian asked. I shrugged my shoulders and said, "A little fam vacay, nothing big. Just us four and the kids since literally everyone dropped off the face of the earth and Letty and Dom are on their honeymoon."
"I think its a good idea. We've been at work for like 5 or 6 months straight, plus raising new borns and toddlers, so we all deserve some relaxation on a beach drinking mai tais." Han states.
We all agreed to go to Hawaii, due to the fact that the Bahamas were too close to Doms honeymoon location and wanted them to not have to worry about us.
The next day, we arrived in Maui and booked a huge suite at a resort for all of us. It included 2 bedrooms, which we'll use for the kids, one for the toddlers and one for the babies. It also had a large living room with a view of the beach, and it had a bed and a couch which was a pull out bed.
Brian and Mia took the bed while Han and I took the couch.
This is gonna be a great vacation. Or so we thought...
