Desert
July 16th 2016
The dizzying bare plains made my head spin. I held my right hand above my eyes and peered into the distance. High mountains rose from the landscape. The beautiful silhouettes of the mountains made me watch the scene with an open mouth. I stood there for a while - it felt like hours to me. I smiled. My skin was already pretty brown because of the bright, hot sun that was shining all day long. Around my wrist, a print of an elastic band could be seen; I had just put it in my hair, to make a high bun. The heat gradually became too much for me. Quickly I got in the car and enjoyed the cool air that came from the air conditioning. I started the car and continued my journey along the endless roads, on my way to my next destination.
