For months and months I had been wondering why my dearest friend Anne of twenty two years had not wrote back to me. At last updated has found out yet why why hasn't she answered me I thought? When Jane a next door neighbour have you heard the news King Edward is dead and Richard is be made King of England but I thought the king had a son he discovered but Richard thinks it's best if he governs the country sense as the rivers boy has no knowledge of running the country besides the now King Richard is of royal blood so he should know of what it takes to be set king so some sinful child that comes from a wronged marriage the marriage wasn't seen in God's house in terms you will understand they  (lady Elizabeth Rivers and HM The king Edward) did not marry in a legalised church that satisfied by church of England besides the king was being foolish to marry a peasant girl of nowhere noble birth that must have raged Duchess Sesserily Edwards mother didn't look the imposed match with  a FRIENDLY EYE Edward on the other hand display as he pleased his cousin lord Allan of Warwick was higher rank than him. Edward! I must ask you reconsider the Rivers girl! She is not of noble birth of blood your father Henry of that, she is commoner and royals don't marry commoners that haven't come from noble birth. My daughters however you may consider them your majesty. The Warwick girls! Never I have made my choice see to it that the marriage be near her family demands King Edward.

I had heard that "the witch" Queen Elizabeth is in hiding in the tower and Richard as king will govern this country to greatness. And whom could blame he introduced new palace members he trusted people of all walks of life. But I was away to London to see the new Queen Anne. Off I went to London excuse me could tell where queen Anne and King Richard are resided at the palace said I. That would the castle you mean Windsor Castle.

My dearest friend her Grace Queen Anne,

Oh my dearest friend I am so pleased to hear of your investure as Queen Anne. I have also heard in town that you are lately married to wonderful King Richard. My only hope is i will be permitted to visit you at Windsor very soon. .

All my regards

Lady Emily of Stratfordshire

I had signed and sealed the letter and sent to the Queen.  This time she wrote back and she sounded surprised by the notion of my knowing of her marriage to Richard. It was great occasion not just for me and the king it was for the whole country. Back at Windsor Queen showed Richard the letter hum whom is she? A friend dearest I have known her since we were small children perhaps you permit her to visit us! Said she of course my dear Anne! Said Richard walking towards her. For me it was so strange to see Anne after all these years. Of course I didn't expect her to regnoise me straight away.

The castle was grand and grandure had nothing to do with being happy. Myself and anne neville were the best of friends but now she's married and governing this country I wonder at her coping with being a wife and a mother. Richard his grace the Duke of Gloucester was stern faced man with very limited conversation I thought when I first saw him. But Anne views him differently. Oh my lady Emily how nice to see you! Said Anne Richard! This is the girl I was talking to you off last evening oh the girl you use play with when you were a child! Well welcome to our home lady Emily! Said the king as he kissed my hand. Anne! Your husband is a fine man is he not! That he is better than anyone else u ever knew . Guarding the king and Queen were elite men they knew when to fightback.

The king was natural and just he only punishments if he knew that you had committed a crime. And the serious was the ......... death sentence. Me on the other hand oh yes good King Richard iii knew how to treat his wives friend of 20 years with respect and charm. Lady Emily! Said The Queen you may dine with me and Richard this evening! Oh but what about the young prince oh no don't worry about Edward I will see to him you go and find your best dress out for the meal yes your Grace! I curtised before leaving the room. No need for just ceremony between dear friends such as you and I. By 7.00 that evening I was ready , my stomach was doing summersaults of course. Oh your Grace!  I in turn made him his courtesy. Thank you my lady! You look absolutely beautiful this evening! Said the king smiling at him and taking my hand and kissing it.

Anne had seen the way her husband was with me she'd seen the way he looks at me everytime he sees me Anne doesn't mind at that because she knows I'd never betray her. The king was most civil with me! I sad to Anne see! I told you. My lady Emily could escort you in to the evenings entertainment! That's if lady Anne doesn't mind I'm sure she'd want you by her side as your her husband sir! Spoke I. No no carry on i will walk with Sir Robert! Mam! Thank you sir Robert. The king and I was talking

Richard: Thankyou for doing this for my wife Anne when she showed me that letter I thought ...... that you may have misunderstood me and took me as pompous and aggroant but I am not i am charming when i want to be but shh shh do not tell the rest of the court.

Me: it's my pleasure your Grace! I do not think your as you would put it "pompous and aggroant" (laughs) I think your the perfect husband and father. Your a lucky man.

Richard: oh please do stop calling me your Grace is know I'm the king but when your in the view of court you may call me your Grace but when we are like this you may call me Richard.

Me: oh no I couldn't

Richard: come I insist

Me: well then Richard I thank you for giving me this opportunity to work with young son HRH Prince Edward.

Anne at this point was right behind Richard and me following us into the great Hall.  Anne turned me and said you have had a good chat with the king have you? Yes I have you seemed to enjoy him talking to you. Yes he is charming that's why I married him. Anne he's perfect he will never find another man like him do not let him go said I to her as she walked towards her husband and her waiting throne.
