(Lindsay's POV)

We finally settled into our new house, we have been here for a week and Alison has not talked to any of us; thank goodness. The house was beautful, it was a 4 bedroom en suite, Victorian structured hosue with rose vines sprouting out on the east side of the house: just below my bedroom, the garden was beautiful, a large oak tree sat at the bottom with an old swing hanging from a thick branch. This was the house that little girls dreamed about. Me included,

It was the day we were being enrolled into school, I can't wait to get back into a classroom and start learning English; it was my favourite subject, that's why I wanted to be an author. Today was the day of a beginning and an ending. The start of a new life for me and the end of Alison's old pathetic life.

Mother thought it would be fun to buy our uniforms and instead of the usual, geeky outfit I'm known for wearing she thought it would be hilarious to buy me something more; inappropriate. Thigh length skirt and a tighter blouse than I'm used to, I looked like my beloved sister.

We pulled up to the school and Alison was refusing to get out, I being the perfect child jumped out and kissed my parents good bye. Heading into the entrance, passing by student after student. I finally reached the principals office, Mr Brown, I pushed open the door and greeted the balding old man.

"Greetings Miss Tyler, so this will be short and sweet. Here is your schedule, I advise you keep to it and don't skip class; stay in line and this school will treat you well. Understood?" I nodded my head and smiled approvingly, "Good now get to your homeroom."

Leaving the principals office I was receiving a lot of stares, mainly from the opposite sex; Why? I kept asking myself as I stopped at my apparent locker for the rest of the school year, unlocking it and checking it out, "cool." I mumbled under my breath.

"It is quite a cool locker, isn't it?" I jumped and swung around, bumping into someone, "Sorry didn't mean to scare you." His voice wavered as he began to chuckle, one of those warm chuckles that come from the pit of your stomach.

I stared up into his eyes, they were a warm chocolate brown, "It-its fine, Sorry got to go." I slammed my locker shut and pushed past the devilishly handsome boy, seriously I felt like I could of melted right there on the spot.

Finally reaching my homeroom, I opened the door and crept in as i walked to the back of the room.

Once I was settled into my seat, I noticed quite a bit of attention was on me; instead of focusing on that I opened my book and continued to read, from where I had left of, The Scarlet Letter. One of my favourite books, it was a book of pure genius, a story you would never catch Alison reading.

I closed the book as the first bell went off, signalling first period, English, jumping from my seat and practically running to class; I was so looking forward to this semester. Geek overload.

I chose to sit nearer the front of the class, call me a geek, I don't care I admire English. It was something that I had passion for, it was pure gold; gifted to us from the God's above. Funny last time I remembered I was an atheist.

Once the class was settled and silent, the teacher began to speak, "Class this semester, your last semester before becoming seniors I might add, will be your greatest semester yet. Here's why, instead of giving you all projects and a thesis like I would normally do; I'm letting you choose your own, this means you will have to find a meaning for your project something that has high importance. This will be 60 per cent of your final grade, so don't be half ass about it. Okay? I'm hoping for something great," He stopped and glanced over at me, staring at me with confusion then bowing his head slightly, "Miss Tyler please seem me after class."
