I was running and running but he was coming closer and closer to me. I had to escape, I had to protect myself but I couldn't. He suddenly grabbed my hair and pulled it. I fell on the ground aching. "Now now, there's no need to be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you sugarpop". He took the scarf off his neck and placed it around mine. I tried to scream but my voice wouldn't come out of my mouth. "It is okay sugarpop. I am going to put you to sleep now". He suddenly pulled the edges of the scarf and it became tight around my neck. I couldn't breath and I couldn't scream. He was suffocating me. I started moving and throwing my hands and legs up and down but I wasn't moving. I heard his laugh while he tightened the scarf.
AGHHHH!
I woke up in the middle of the night petrified, cold sweat running down my face. I had a nightmare again. It has been so long that I have been dealing with insomnia and nightmares. I couldn't help it. I was still so scared. I got out of bed and headed towards the kitchen. I heard the sound of the television in the living room and I knew my mum had fallen asleep again watching grey's anatomy or something. I drank a glass of water and returned to my bedroom. I lied on my bed and closed my eyes. This would soon be over.
