My white fur flowed as the wind grew stronger, this terrain was different then the rocky hills i was used to. It was all clear with few tall trees here and there, and in the distance was the forest. No rocks covered the landscape, not like what i was used to. I sniffed the air and smelled rabbit.

maby ill hunt here

I thought to my self, it would be better to learn how to hunt in different areas. I walked forward quietly, i looked around trying to fine how i could hunt with no cover.

Maby i could crouch and try to hide in the cover of this long grass?

My hope of prey doubled as i thought of a way. I sniffed the air agian and located rabbits a few fox lengths away. I crouched lower to hide in the grass, i managed to slip through each blade of grass quietly till i saw the rabbits. There was a large brown rabbit watching two baby rabbits play. I stilled and breathed slowly and quietly. i closed my eyes and pricked my ears. There scent trickled up my nose and i opened my eyes again, the brown rabbit bent down to eat and my chance came. I took a small step forward, and pushed on my hind legs, and the action started. The small rabbits squealed in fright and the brown rabbit jumped up in surprise. I jumped at the two baby rabbits and sank my teeth into one of them, its warm blood trickled into my mouth and went limp. I droped my prey and the two other rabbits started to trout of. I jumped forward and energy and excitement ran through my veins. The little rabbit swerved away and i ran after the larger one. Its brown fur disappearing into the grass. I lunged forward using all my strength, not wanting to lose my prey. My teeth sank into its tail and it intently turned in fear. I snaped forward and cought its throat. It went limp and i stood up proudly. A image ran in my mind of sharing prey happily with friends and family.

'To bad no one can be proud of your catch'

My mind told me and a hollow feeling filled me. I never got a praise for anything, no one knew me and my mother died before i could do anything good..... and.. and my father probably forgot that i ever existed. I sighed and laid my head on my paws, the rabbits dident look that appetizing anymore. I closed my eyes and a sleep washed over me.

A pain jabbing in my stomach woke me. The rabbits were still there but they were cold. The pain came agian and i realized it was hunger. I sat up and my stomach let out a growl for food. I leaned down and took a bite of the large rabbit, its blood wasn't warm and it was a little stale. But i gabled it down Hungrily. When i finished both rabbits i sat up now full. The sun was beginning to set. I got up and yawned.

Tonight would be a full moon!

It struck me and i was suddenly awake. I needed to find a good clear spot for he ritual, but my cave was to far away. Id have to find a place here, i ran towards the nearest tree, and stopped. The grown sloped down and i saw a perfect spot, two rocks holding a third large rock. I ran down the hill as shadows started to fall. I landed at the bottom and sniffed around, no sines ofother animals. I jumped up to the smallest rock and looked up, it was like little steps leading to the top. I stumbled up the rocks and eventually made it to the top. The top was wide and flat. It could probably hold at least five wolfs. I looked over and saw the forest. I had a perfect view from here, i could see the plain lands, the rocky hills, and the forest! I dont know how long i stood there, gazing over the forest, but before i knew it the moon was at its highest point. I looked up and could see millions of stars, and the moon shone down making parts of the rock glow. The glowing made it look like the rock was filled with stars. I looked at the moon agian.

"Spirit wolfs? Did you send this rock, the one that makes stars? Is this a sign?"

A cloud floated halfway in front of the moon making its light shine directly on me. I looked up, my body filling with happiness.

"spirit wolfs, i thank you for the hope you give me, for still watching over me after all these years, i thank you for the prey given to me every day, and i thank you for this sign that your watching, i thank you for the meeting place, the...er.... the star rock!"

I closed my eyes and the moon light soaked my fur, and i let out a loud howl, a howl filled with all my love, and gratitude for the spirit wolfs. My howl rang through the empty field.

Thank you spirit dogs for not giving up on me,

Thank you for believeing~
