"Yoongi, I swear that I will summon you every day every single chance I get if you don't teach me how to summon a unicorn right now," [Name] threatened. Yoongi groaned and threw his head back.
"I have already told you exactly fourteen times that we do not have the materials needed and you are not at a high enough level to perform another spell so difficult. You literally collapsed after demanding I teach you magic," Yoongi explained, slowly this time, hoping that maybe that would help her understand.
"Teach me," she demanded. Yoongi sighed.
"Listen to me. Your body can't handle any more spells right now. You will either be seriously injured or die if you continue to strain yourself. Summoning rituals require a lot of energy and I'm surprised you're even standing now. You can't do it," Yoongi explained once more. [Name] pouted. Yoongi couldn't believe his life right now.
"Then I'll have to summon you again tomorrow," she decided.
"No! Even if you summon me, please do not do that, by the way, you'll just drain your energy again. What part do you not get?" Yoongi exclaimed. [Name] was still pouting.
"But if I don't summon you how will I ever learn to summon a unicorn?" she asked. Yoongi rolled his eyes.
"I'll come tomorrow and teach you, damn it. Just please don't try the summoning ritual again. I can't handle that trip again so soon. I'll teach you how to summon the damn unicorn, okay? Just not now," Yoongi said, finally giving up. He'd rather come by and teach the girl how to summon a damn unicorn than be summoned again. The process was not very pleasant and Yoongi avoided it at all costs. Some crazy assholes, like Hoseok, the damn angel, enjoyed the trip, but Yoongi honestly couldn't stand it. It was part of the reason he made his ritual so ridiculous. Of course, he honestly did not expect anyone to ever be able to do it. It was completely ridiculous and not at all what people thought it might be. Everyone thought that he needed human sacrifices or some bullshit like that to summon him. At one point a long time ago he actually did come when someone tried to summon him with human sacrifices. He only knew about the incident before it was too late because Hoseok happened to be in the forest exploring when he stumbled upon the insane ritual. Yoongi came in time to save the sacrifice and give the cult a lecture on the importance of life. It didn't stop the rituals, unfortunately, but it seemed to help a little bit.
Either way, being summoned was not a fun experience and Yoongi would much rather spend a day teaching a girl how to summon a unicorn than go through that again. He'd have to find some time to change the ritual again, although that took a ridiculous amount of time and he'd really rather not. He'd have to just manage a way to make sure [Name] didn't use it again.
"But I want a unicorn now," [Name] said. Yoongi could not believe how childish this girl was. He rolled his eyes and put his hand on her shoulder. With a flash, they were outside, high on some mountain surrounded by a dark forest. Yoongi contemplated just leaving her there for a moment.
"There you go. Unicorns. You happy now?" he asked. [Name] gasped and stepped back, shocked. Yoongi's hand fell back to his side. Right before them was a small group of unicorns, mostly grey. There was one that was a darker shade, almost black, at the front of the group, watching them cautiously. It lowered its head and raised its front leg a little bit. Yoongi stepped back towards [Name] again. He didn't care to try to get along with unicorns right now. He already had a mess of a day. Making unicorns trust them would be annoying enough tomorrow.
Another flash and they were back in [Name]'s house. She blinked. Finally, it seemed that he had done enough to shut her up.
"See you tomorrow. Rest up before then," Yoongi told her, waving. He snapped--only for the effect, honestly--and disappeared. He sighed and sat back down in the chair he was in before being summoned, picking up his book.
At least it was something new and different. Yoongi finally had an excuse for himself to go out and do something other than read or be annoyed by Hoseok. It had been a while since he associated with live humans. This would be interesting.
