You had just arrived at your new camp, you were very excited to actually get some social interaction for once.
You patiently waited for your camp counselor to greet you, dragging a stick around in the dirt and humming softly.
Then, your counselor came running towards you. He had the biggest smile on his face and he seemed very friendly.
He looked okay, he seemed to have reddish hair and green eyes.
He stopped, panting and looking at you. "Hey there! You must be (Y/N)!" He said. You responded with a simple nod, smiling slightly. "Come on, let's go introduce you to the other campers! Gosh, you're gonna love it here, Camp Campbell is an amazing pla-" he stopped.
The other counselor looked really frustrated. Everyone was literally going fucking insane. No wonder she was so angry.
You backed up slowly. What the hell is up with this place?
A few minutes later, everyone calmed down. You looked up at your counselor, "Excuse me, um.. You forgot to introduce yourself."
He looked at you and gasped, "Golly, I did, didn't I? Well, my name is David, and that's Gwen!" he pointed to the lady who was super frustrated. She had reddish hair as well, and amethyst colored eyes.
David yelled to get everybody's attention. "We have a new camper! Please introduce yourself, ma'am."
You waved silently, you didn't really know what to say, like, at all. You were just standing there, really silent. David looked at you and cocked his head. "..Aren't you gonna introduce yourself?"
Suddenly you snapped back into reality. "Oh, well um, I'm (Y/N).."
You could tell that David knew you were nervous. "Ahem, Meet (Y/N)! I'd like everyone to introduce themselves!"
One by one, the other campers came up to you and greeted you. The last person to introduce themselves was a black haired boy in a blue hoodie, a yellow t-shirt underneath and jeans.
"Hey, I'm Max." he said, you looked up at him. "I-I'm (Y/N).."
He stared at you for a second. "So why are you here?" You shrugged, "I don't r-really know, honestly."
"Hey, (Y/N), wanna hang out with me, Nikki, and Neil?"
You nodded and then he led you to the lake. Nikki and Neil were already there. "Hey Max, and hey (Y/N)!" Nikki yelled, you smiled and waved.
Max walked over to the group, and you followed behind.
Before you knew it, the day was over. You headed to your tent, then suddenly, you felt yourself being pulled into another tent. You stared at the person and— It was just Nikki.
Thank God it was Nikki.
"Heeeyyyy! So Max told me not to tell you this buuut, I'm doing it anyway."
You cocked your head and stared at her. "What is it?"
"Max has this ridiculous crush on you."
Your eyes widened, you tried to prevent yourself from blushing. You failed.
Your face lit up.
"Wait— Really?"
"Yes! He said you're like, suuuper adorable."
You giggled and hugged Nikki. "W-Well, I'm gonna go b-back to my tent now.. Night Nikki!"
She waved goodbye, falling back onto the bed as you walked out of her tent, and made your way to yours.
You fell back onto your bed, your face looked like a fucking tomato.
You could barely sleep. You stayed up half of the night thinking about what Nikki said.
Was it true? Does he.. really like me?
