Chapter 2

The next day Toni walked into the huge field, which in a few hours would be covered with fans, and stared at the huge stage in front of her. She could hear a guitar clearly playing one of her favorite songs 'Fallen Angels'. She couldn't help it, she sang along.

"Are you after my job?" That sexy deep voice broke into her thoughts from behind her making her jump.

"Shit, you scared the pants off me!"

Andy raised his eyebrows the picture forming in his head.

"Perv." Toni teased. Andy took her by the hand and they walked towards the stage. "It's kinda bigger than I thought it would be." She felt her heart race as he pulled her up the stairs. Andy fetched a her a mike and she felt like her heart was going to jump out of her chest.

"Guys this is Toni. Toni, this is CC, Jinxx, Jake and Ashley." Andy said. All of them raising their hands in acknowledgement. "You wanna see what it feels like?" Andy asked, holding out the mike. Toni hesitated but took it and thought for a second.

"Do you mind if I don't do one of yours?"

"The stage is yours. Do whatever you want"

Toni walked up to the mike stand, placed the mike into its cradle, closed her eyes and started to sing.

The drums behind her rolled making her jump and open her eyes. She smiled as jinxx joined in violin.

As the music finished she heard whistling and clapping from in front of her. She opened her eyes and saw Andy standing behind a barricade.

Toni felt her face flush. Andy walked up to her and put his arms around her "Don't be embarrassed, that was beautiful."

"Yo, Toni." came three voices in unison.

Toni smiled "Here come the clown crew" she said with a smile.

The bands got introduced and spent a few hours playing around and getting to know each other. It was almost time for people to come in so everyone cleared up and went into the dressing room. "How are you feeling?" Andy asked Toni as he started putting on his make up.

"Nervous."

"Just go out there and have fun." He smiled and they hugged.

"Thank you so much for this."

"It's okay, one day you can return the favor.

"Yo, Toni, we're up. C'mon." came Ash's voice bursting Toni's bubble.

"I'll see you soon." Toni said and ran to the stage.

After they'd finished Toni ran backstage. "Man, that was awesome!"

"Paaaaarrrrrttttttaaaaayyyy" shouted Marty as all three guys ran past Toni and carried on to the beer tent. Toni laughed.

"Told you not to worry." Came Andy's voice. "You were great."

"Thanks. Do you mind if I hang around here and watch you guys?"

" I was hoping you would. " Andy grinned. The rest of the band ran past them, onto the stage. After a moment, Andy followed.

Toni was hypnotised. She sang along to all the songs. She got thirsty and as much as she hated to, she went to get some water. She walked down the steps and before she knew it, she was grabbed and tossed to the floor. "Benny! Get the fuck off me!" She wriggled but one of his hands were on her stomach and the other was fending off her blows. She got a few good punches in but that seemed to make him press down harder, making it hard to breathe. She stopped fighting," What do you want?" she asked, panting.

"Oh, honey, you know what I want." he moved his hand down til it was over the top of her jeans. "You gone!" his other hand raised in the air but before Toni could do anything the blade pierced her side. Then he got up and ran off.

In the distance she could hear black veil brides playing there last song. She wanted to scream but it was taking all her strength to breathe. Tears fell down her cheek. She put a hand to her side and then looked. Her red fingers made her feel sick. She started to shake from the cold sensation that was creeping in. The music stopped and she heard cheering. "Andy." she said weakly. She knew she had to do better than that. "ANDY!" she cried as she heard footsteps on the metal stairs. "Toni, is that you?" she heard Andy's voice but it sounded so far away. "Shit, someone get the medics." He ran over to her, landing on his knees by her side. "Toni! Can you hear me?"

Toni opened her eyes and looked into his as a tear slid down her cheek. "Andy?"

"I'm here. Just hold on." He said as he undid a scarf from the back of his jeans and placed it over the wound. "I'm sorry but this is going to hurt." He pressed down and Toni's closed her eyes and held her breath for a second.

"Andy?"

"Shhh, don't talk."

"Thank you."

"What for?"

"I always dreamt of singing on a big stage instead of a small club. You made it happen."

"And we WILL do it again." he bent down and touched his lips to hers. Toni smiled and for a split second the pain disappeared. She heard voices in the distance as she closed her eyes.
