When I woke up, I was in a room of white. I had no memory. I had no feeling all throughout my body. But I wish I could've stay like that. Because after weeks of being altered by scientists, getting new body parts and abilities, being trained with deadly weapons and skills, I was transferred.
Transferred into a new world. Transferred into an empty football stadium, with my partner and ten other deadly, killing teenagers. Where my first Survival Challenge was.
Welcome to the Survival Competition.

Prologue:
They say the future is bright. They say that whatever challenges you face will turn out all right in the end. But I know for a fact, that is wrong in many ways.
For one, the future was anything but bright. I didn't know what year it was- they had me frozen for God knows how long- but eventually the Earth travels away from the Sun, closer to Jupiter. The sky was dark most of the day, except when the Astronauts traveling around us gave us light. In fact, our new horizon was a beautiful scenery that consisted of the darkness that surrounded our planet, and every couple hours, Jupiter.
Second, this future is about the most sick and twisted thing I've ever seen. It's like microwaving cats was the new 'nice'.
Looking around, I stood at the top of a row of seats. Below a football stadium stretched on. Rows and columns of red plastic chairs continued in their neat pattern a ways down, almost never ending, until it hit the edge of a board. Then, the football field started and made it's way across the stadium. Behind me there was an archway, carved out of the rock the stadium was made out of. I don't know where it lead, but that wasn't my focus right now.
The wind blew against my face as I looked back to the field. A holographic timer stood there with a "-115" on it. It ticked down, each second bringing a new loud ding through my ears. My eyes searched the top of the other rows, scanning over a girl with long brown hair, a boy with short blonde hair, a girl with curly red hair and a girl with dark curly hair. I saw a brown haired boy nodding to a girl with equally tan skin as him from across the stadium. With my new eyes, I could see her nod back. Finally, I landed on a girl diagonal from me.
Flair, my partner, was looking at me with a look of sheer determination in her dark eyes. Her long, wavy brown hair was sprawled across her face and she bent into the wind, not daring to take a step until the timer hit "0", where it will start counting up to the time limit we had. Flair's dark skin glowed with the help from the altering the scientists did to her body. The gold color of our team was the shade of her jacket, which hung off her and almost to her knees. Her boots were squeaking throughout the stadium as she nervously waited. Finally, she caught my eye, and she winked at me.
Game plan #2.
Suddenly, a loud voice rang through the stadium. "Welcome." A translucent film was placed over my eyes, giving me sight to what viewers back in The City saw. Everyone's name followed them like a video game, color coded to show the teams. We each also had an energy bar and a life bar, as well as a rating out of five. Looking at Flair, I saw today she had a four our of five rating. She looked pretty determined.
Now, the only difference between our vision and the viewers was that the Gamemaker switched between our eyes and third person cameras, so they saw all around.
"After weeks of training and learning, it's finally time to put your skills to the test. Welcome to your first Survival Challenge, children.
"Today, your goal is to find a marble. Easy right? Wrong. There are four marbles through out the stadium. Five teams. The team who doesn't get a marble, or make it back to your designated point on time will be brought into the Chamber. Your votes will determine your life at that point. So play hard. And watch out for traps and weapons placed around the stadium. Good luck. You have three minutes."
The clock was at "-10". My nose picked up the smell of burning flesh.
-9. The harsh breathing of the boy to my left sounded through my ears.
-8. His leg stepped off the podium, and he screamed, his leg being volted with unbelievable amounts of electricity.
-7. His partner, a girl in red, whimpered.
-6. Flair's eyes narrowed, scanning the ground of the field, looking for an usual sight.
-5. My feet positioned themselves to run.
-4. I quickly measured up the amount of stairs before the board.
-3. My heart was beating quickly, feeling as though it would rip through my chest at any minute.
-2. I felt my palms getting sweaty.
-1. My breath hitched in my throat.
