MONSTA X: THE LEGEND

Chapter I

"Ugh, I can't believe i forgot my glasses again." Ryujin complained to herself while rummaging through her bag.

Ryujin was a senior University student who often forgets her glasses. She can be quite forgetful. But she has a brilliant mind. Actually, she's one of the top students at her university.

"I guess I'll have to tough it out today too." She sighed as she clutched her textbook closer to her chest and tried to make her way to class without bumping into anyone. But she horribly failed. She almost ran into the wall too! (What a mess...) She thought.

She finally arrived at a classroom door. She squinted her eyes, trying to read the name of the classroom, just to be sure she's at the right place.

"Need help?" She heard a voice coming from behind her. She turned around to see who it was. She saw a blurry image, but she could make out some of his features. He was tall, dark skin and thick lips.

"No." She stated then went inside. The guy chuckled and followed her. She took a seat and put her stuff on her desk: a notepad and pen ready to be used. When she looked to her left, she spotted the guy from earlier sitting right next to her.

Her brows immediately rose up "Who are you?" She could see him smile slightly "Uhh, Hyungwon? Your classmate? We always sit next to each other in geography"

Thats when she recognized him "Ahhh, the techno guy! Right, I remember you." Hyungwon was a crazy technology guy. He was obsessed with all sorts of things related to technology. He was also a big fan of video games. He once fixed Ryujin's phone in 10 seconds. She saw him as a technology genius.

Hyungwon noticed something "Why aren't you wearing your glasses? Don't tell me you forgot them again." She groaned "I did." He looked down at her notebook placed in front of her "I doubt you'll be able to make out anything written on the board. I can lend you my notes at the end of the--"
She didnt let him finish "No, I'll be fine."

His brows furrowed a bit "But you have really bad eyesight without your glasses." She immediately responded while turning away from him "I said I'll be fine." Hyungwon sighed in defeat "Suit yourself, then."

The teacher arrived and disposed of his stuff on his desk. Then he started explaining the lesson. As the period went on, Ryujin's eyes started stinging from squinting them too much. She rubbed her eyes then tried to focus back on the lesson. But the stinging just got stronger.

She glued her head to her desk and closed her eyes. Hyungwon saw everything, so he whispered to her "Just rest and close your eyes. I'll give you my notes later. Because you clearly cant make out anything on that board."

As much as Ryujin wanted to refute, she had to admit that he was right. So she just layed her head comfortably on her desk and drifted off to sleep.

A while later, she felt a gentle tap on her shoulder. She slowly rose her head to be met with Hyungwon's smile "Class is dismissed. Here are my notes." She took the notes from his hand "Thanks." Then she headed out.

The whole day was a total blur. Ryujin's eyesight was pretty bad. And her forgetfulness wasn't helping.

As she headed out of her last class, she rubbed her temples and sighed in relief (Finally! I can't wait to get back to my dear glasses!) She thought.

She headed out of campus towards her house. But as she was walking, she remembered (Oh snap! I have a project to work on with some guy and Sohyun!) Which meant going back to Uni. But she can't work properly without her glasses. So she ran down the street, trying to reach her house as fast as she can. She already texted her friend that she's running a bit late.
