The Cat Prince: A Miraculous AU Story

Chapter 2

Adrien's P.O.V

It was nearing nightfall and the princess was nowhere in the room I was in. She was at her party I guessed. I was on the couch resting when one of the maids came in. She cleaned the floors and the windows and made the bed and stuff. She left soon after. I watched the clock strike 7:00 and I suddenly changed. I was still a cat, but human too. I was in a ridiculous cat suit. I wore a mask and tried to pull it off, but it didn't come off. I went out of the room and eventually found the ballroom. I guess it was a masquerade ball too. I guess I dressed appropriately for the occasion. I went inside and bumped into a girl with a beautiful red dress with black spots. "Oops, I'm so sorry. I'm very clumsy" she said. "Hey, I'm Chat Noir, and you are?" I said. "I'm a LadyBug" she said. If I'm going to have to kiss anyone to break my spell, I know I want LadyBug. But how do I win her over without saying I'm Adrien? "Your dress is the chat's meow, M'lady" I said. "Oh thanks" she said smiling. "Care to dance with me, M'lady?" I asked. "Sure, maybe in a few minutes" she said.

Now, I'm not sure how to go about getting her interest. I mean, she is very captivating. I can't be modest, she's too good. Maybe I should show off a little. Maybe even make her laugh. I smiled at her. "You know all the girls are crazy for me" I said. "Oh really?" She said. "Yep, and I don't blame them" I said flexing my muscles. I winked at her. She laughed and covered her face. "Come on, let's go dance, kitty" she said. She grabbed me and went onto the dance floor. We danced slowly to the rhythm of the song.

"Hey Chat, have you seen a blond haired prince around?" She asked. "Oh, um uh..... no not at all.  But I'll look around and see, my lady" I said.  She pulled a feathered fan out. The feather fibers tickled my nose. I sneezed and fell down. She laughed and put the fan away. "Sorry, I can't take you seriously, Chat Noir. Your sneezing is funny" she said. She grabbed me to pull me up. I heard a ticking noise. "What's that?" She asked. I looked at my hand. My signet ring was now black with a green paw print on it. The ticking was the 2nd of 5 paw pads going away. I guessed that when it went to none, I'd be a cat again. "Its just the clock" I said. "Oh Ok" she said.

Marinette's P.O.V

He was different than most people at my party. To be honest, I'm not sure who he is. He seems nice, but he's a bit of a show off. His puns are not very funny. He's got a charm that is very amusing. I walked away from him and went near the door. "What is the matter, M'lady?" He asked running toward me. "Nothing. I was just... expecting someone. Please excuse me, I'll be right back" I said walking into the restroom. I sat on the floor. "Adrien isn't coming" I said. I cried. I wanted to tell him my true feelings. I cried for a while, and went out again. "Hey, little lady" a voice said. "What's up? Something on your mind?" She asked. It was my friend Alya. "Adrien didn't show up. I wanted to tell him" I said. "Look girl, if he didn't show up today, then you should go to him and tell him yourself. 

Adrien's P.O.V

I hope Ladybug is okay. I can't find her anywhere. I heard a beep again. I have 2 pads left. I figure I should slip out now. I went into the hall and changed back into a cat. I ran into the princesses room and noticed she was lying in her bed. "Oh Adrien, come here my chat" she said. She held me and brushed me slowly. "Adrien did not show up tonight. I do hope he is ok" she said stroking me nervously.

"There was this cat boy at my party. I'm not sure who he was, but he looked familiar" Marinette said. I wasn't paying much attention to what she was saying. I was busy thinking of Ladybug.
