It's cold, dark and dirty. The air feels muggy and wet against my skin. Looking around, trying, thinking, that there might be at least some sign of life, some signal for help, but all I can hear is the wind blowing debris through the air and into the oil filled black lake down the road.
Staring up and around, there would have once been multi-storey businesses and houses in the high-end suburbs and cities, but are now just smashed bricks and glass along with other inexpensive items and belongings scattered around.
I hate this feeling. The one where you feel like you're being watched. Every corner I turn, I get this eery feeling that there are still people here, just hiding, afraid that the disaster will come again.
I am Anastasia Lauren, 18 years old, from this city, my home, in the past.

But now it's gone. All gone.
