Chapter 3-
Amber Halls P.O.V.
Recap- Amber gets to talking with the mysterious dude in her kitchen (didn't her parents teach her basic safety? She didn't even ask him his name yet!) Then she starts trying to figure out why he is in her lovely house to begin with. Just to find out he lives next door! How could she of missed that? Oh wait it's a book written by a teen.....that's why. Just when she's about to interrogate him further her brother decides to grace them with his presence.
"Hello?" Dylan says making the statement sound more like a question. Seriously that's all he says? No oh hey Amber this is blah blah and he is here because of so and so. Hold the freaking phone, guys! Is that blood on his chin?
Deciding to voice my question (haha strange dude in my house i'm being observant now.)
"Is that blood on your chin?" I question. Dylan visibly flinches and drawls his eyes to the floor. Acting as if it's the most interesting thing in the world. Hmm maybe i'm actually starting to scare the guy, only takes fifteen years guys! Grrr Did the strange dude just growl at my brother?? Nu uh honey, you're not going all animal and act ticked off in this situation. Plus my brother stands up for his-- he just bent his neck to the left side. Whaaaat, I mean like what the heck just happened. Is that my brother? Is he sick? Is this strange dude a wizard?
I notice his eyes are looking kind of dazed and looked behind me to see skyscraper guys eyes look the same. Haha go me two observations in one night. Shut it Amber, shouldn't you be trying to investigate why it looks like these two are either speaking telepathically or burning a hole into each other's eyes. My conscience yells in my head. Okay, okay I got you chica.
I snap my fingers in front of Dylan's face to get his attention, it worked! He looks down at me and says "Amber go upstairs please, me and Ekon need to have a conversation." "But-" I try and stamper out. Hey a girl can be nosey can't she? "No, we need to discuss matters not concerning you." Dylan says with a sharp glint in his eye, almost like it was there warning me to do what he says. What do you mean doesn't concern me? I can make it concern me, if I get to stay. (I wanted to say that)
Fine i'll go.
I'll be the good little sister I am.
Right after I make it up the stairs and shut my bedroom door. (Without me going into my room) And sit my butt far back from the ledge so I won't be seen and cup my ear. Yes, i'm eavesdropping. No it's not bad. Not at all. Don't judge me. You're reading about my life!
Screw being the good little sister. That's for other sisters, not for this one.
Aww shucks, they moved to the living room. Why is that so terrible? Because that's on the whole other side of the house. Uh time to move again. You know what? It's probably 3 a.m. by now. I will figure out this problem tomorrow, preferably when I have two cups of coffee in me.
"My precious little mate, you just don't know how much danger you are in. Do not fear young one, I will protect you with my entire being." I feel someone stroking my hair in the middle of my dreamless sleep, guess who it is? Ding ding, you go it. Ekon. Little mate? Young one? Danger? Umm excuse me buddy I'm not your friend, little, young, or in danger. You've got the wrong room. Why is he even here? Should of kicked him to the curb while I still had the chance.
As if he heard my question he said, "Dylan and I think it would be a great idea if I stay the night." Your house is literally twenty feet away, go walk over to your house. You lazy buffoon! Sleep Amber, he's here to protect and love us. My conscience says. Why do you sound so whipped conscience??
Dear lord, this is going to be a long night, I mean morning.

Damn you Intruder!
WerewolfWhat would you do if an intruder came into your house? Hit them? Hide under your bed hugging your favorite pillow named Mr. Squishy? Go back to bed like nothing ever happened? Or would you call the police? Well Amber did none of those... That's for...
