Chapter 1: Halfway Around The World

(In Alaska, there were binoculars zooming in to find a secret mountain.)

Woman: "Do you see anything?" (There was nothing in sight to see because of the strong winds.)

Man: "No, not yet, but we'll find it."

Woman: "I know we will. I'm sure of it." (The binoculars went down and it appears to be Nathan and Lara standing by a cliff.)

Nathan: "Yeah. So am I." (Lara smiled and chuckled softly. Someone's teeth was clattering and it was Bryce shivering in the cold. Lara turned around and looked at him.)

Bryce: (Shivering) "Damn you, Lara. When you mean by traveling, I thought you mean tropical places, not cold and icy places!"

Zip: "Chill out, man. Don't forget you agreed on coming with us on traveling."

Bryce: "Yes, which didn't involve this!"

Zip: "You'll be fine."

Bryce: "Yeah, just as long as my feet don't get sawed-off by an axe."

Samantha: "Can he possibly complain all the time?"

Sam: "If I was him, I'd probably do the same thing, but I'm not so I'm good."

Sully: "Hey, guys. I made some steaming hot fish in the igloo if you get hungry."

Sam: "Like right now."

Samantha: "Yep, right behind you." (They both walked inside the igloo.)

Bryce: "I'm going inside too, so my buns can get warm. Forget this cold weather." (Bryce went inside as well and Zip was checking for a signal on his laptop.)

Zip: "Yeah, you go on right ahead without me. I'm going to find a signal, so just in case you complain any more I'll be sure to tune you out." (Lara and Nathan laughed. Sully came back out and saw Nathan and Lara.)

Sully: "Hey, you guys hungry? We're running out of food!"

Lara: "I'll find more."

Nathan: "Wait, where's our kids?"

Sully: "Trevor and Isabelle?"

Nathan: "Yes, where are they?"

Sully: "Well, I gave them little tasks to do since they were, you know. Bored to death. So, I gave Trevor the fishing job making sure we have plenty to eat while Isabelle is making sure we have electricity. Heat source, lighting, things like that."

Lara: "I'll find them and bring them back."

Nathan: "I'll contact you and the kids. Be careful, Lara."

Lara: "Don't worry. I'll come back. I promise."

Nathan: "I know you will." (Lara kisses Nate and got on the sled with snow dogs.)

Lara: "Hike!" (The snow dogs started mushing and they took off through icy wind. Lara puts on her snow goggles on her face and tightened her hat as Nathan watched her leave. Nathan took out his walkie-talkie and switched to a channel to contact Trevor.)

Nathan: "Trevor, come in, Trevor. This is your father speaking, pick up." (He listened as static was passing through with a hiss.)

Nathan: "Zip, how's the signal going?"

Zip: "It's trying really hard to get strong."

Nathan: "How long does it take?"

Zip: "Um, about 10 paces per minute."

Nathan: "Well, can it hurry? I don't want to lose my kids out there. Besides Lara would lose it completely."

Zip: "I hear you, man, but you can't rush technology. It takes time for it to reboot."
