"Hello? Hey!"

I didn't hear anything, then I snapped out of coming back to reality. Where he looked confused.

"Hey you okay?" He asked looking a bit worried, "hey you okay you're shaking."

Then with that I ran away down the hall to my next class.

•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•

All day I ignored him out of fear

When it was lunch time I saw him walk by me and before he could come over some people I guess were his friends cut him off and dragged him to a table across the cafeteria from the one I was at and left me alone for the rest of lunch.

(Zander)

I don't why, but when I first saw her this morning oh... now I know what it was there's something about her that makes her different from the other girls at first when I saw her I thought I saw her eyes turn a different color maybe I was just hallucinating and there's a scent she has too but when she looked at me, it was like it was just her and me no one else, and the world stopped, for some reason I wanted to talk her so when I tried talking to her in the hallway I don't know what happened but I said something and then she just to freeze as if she remembered something, she looked so scared and shook.

Now. She won't talk to me or even look at me, when I'd see her the hall she'll just walk the other way before I can get to her.

Now it's gym, last class of the day and when I walked into the locker room I was by my two friends Jay and Garret.

"Hey man did you see the new girl? She's hot." Jay said, "I have her for math , but she didn't even say a word."

"Yea I noticed that too." Garret commented, "she sat next to me in history and she just wrote in a notebook."

"Do you guys know her name?" I asked not just because I wanted to know but I also wanted to talk to her.

"I heard it's Scarlett but I wasn't paying attention." Jay says then smirks, "why you gonna pull a move on her?"

"I don't know when I talked to her she seemed scared from what I said then ran away but there's something 'bout her that makes her different."

"Well good luck getting her to talk."

After changing we headed out the field to where Mr. Thomas was and then I saw her standing there. She was alone on the field with no one talking to her as soon as I started goings towards her but then Mr. Thomas blows his whistle.

"Okay everyone gather up and listen." He speaks loudly, "today we're gonna do some soft ball so everyone partner up or a group of three, get your glove, and ball then start warming up by tossing."

(Scarlett)

As I grabbed my glove and ball then looked around for a partner but everyone was already in their group and tossing, then I saw him, Zander I think his name was with his friends throwing the ball to each other then he looks at me so does his friends. I quickly turn away and just start tossing the ball up in the air.

"Hey need a partner?" asks a soft voice behind me.

I tense up a bit and turn my head towards the person and see Zander standing there. Now that I could see him better his features were just beautiful milky brown hair, lightly tanner skin, freckles that lightly decorated his nose and cheeks, and piercing blue orbs with a hint grey. I nod and he backs up a few feet. Then I toss a the ball to him and he throws it back to me.

"You got a good arm." He says.

I nod.

"Not a talker huh?"

I shrug.

"Hey did I-"

"Alright listen up we're gonna pick two captain then those two will pick their team got it?" He yells as we all nod or say 'yeah'.

"Okay the two captains are Jay and Russell, so one of you two start off picking your teammates."

"I take Garret." Jay starts off.

"Dennis." Russell says after him.

"Zander."

"Kelly."

And so on until it got to me being the last one to be pick.

"Rock, paper, scissors it boys." The coach says, then they do as told.

Both rock.

Both scissors.

Both rock again.

Then both paper.

Now rock and scissors.

"I win, let's go play ball." The boy with Zander on his team says.

We grab our gloves as we go out to the field into our positions, I'm right outfield ready for someone to try and hit a home run. As someone comes up to bat, the person tosses the ball and they hit the ball towards left outfield, where someone tries to catch but it falls to the ground, so they pick it up throwing to first base.

Accept the person already made it there and safe. When the next person came to bat he hits ball in my direction close to home run but I chase after it jumping to catch as it lands in the leather hand making the batter go out, and then I throw I back to first base where then they throw it to the pitcher.

"One out!" Teacher shouts.

We were one out away from switching to bating with two on first and base as the next batter walks up which was the boy named Russell. He picked up the bat and positioned himself ready to swing. The pitcher throws the ball and he swings but misses it.

"Strike one." The teacher yells.

Misses again.

"Strike two, one more and you're out."

As the pitcher throws one more time, he swings and hits the ball with the head of the bat making go flying in the air to mid-field. It flew through the air as if trying to make a home run withstood people dashing after it but fails to catch it as it soar over the fence.

"Home run baby, whoo!" He runs over bases back to home.
