Sam was awoken to Aiden shaking him lightly.

"Go away..." He murmured sleepily.

"Hey sleepyhead, time to get up if you want me to take you to school. If you don't, then you can sleep in and be late, because we all know my Mother isn't taking you." School? That was today?!

Sam jumped leapt out of bed and ran out the door to the bathroom. Turning on the water he undressed himself and got in.

Once Sam had showered he wrapped a towel around his waist. Looking in the mirror he ruffled his hair shaking water everywhere. His finger trailed down to the very noticeable scar to the left side of his chest from the fatal night that orphaned him.

Sighing, Sam pulled the towel higher on his chest to cover the scar and trudged out of the bathroom to his room. Sam got dressed, he choose a pair of hand-me-down jeans and without bothering to put on a shirt on he threw on one of Aiden's old hoodies he had oh so kindly donated him.

"Alright, eat breakfast and put some shoes on. We'll be leaving in 10 minutes." Aiden told him once he had reached the bottom of the stairs.

"Kay." Sam replied without hesitation.

Sam ate in silence, the rest of the people who lived in the house are usually to work or school before Sam even wakes up, so this was completely normal.

"Alrighty, let's go then." Aiden told him walking out the door.

Sam hobbled after him still trying to tie his shoelace, but not wanting to lose his only ride.

Sam was leaning against his locker silently cursing Aiden for tricking him into getting to school at 6:30.

"Hey Golbach."

"Hey Jam." He replied, grateful that someone had arrived that he could talk to without looking suspicious. Besides Colby, he wanted to befriend Colby, he just had to find out how.

"You know I hate it when you call me that Sam. Call me James, just James." The brunette stressed.

"Okie Dokie, Just James." He smirked relishing the reaction he was getting.

"I need new friends." James mumbled shaking his head.

"Hey! That's my line!" They both turned around to see the one and only Colby Brock walking up to them.

"How was I supposed to know?" James sassed him.

"Shut up!" Sam quietly hissed at him, but Colby had heard.

"It's fine, most people are too scared to talk back to me anyways, so when someone does I always make the best of it Blondie." He said walking over to ruffle Sam's hair.

"You are not calling my Sam Blondie, that's my job." James scowled walking closer to Sam.

"You said you wanted new friends, so I'll take this one off you," He winked at Sam. "Besides he's been trying to talk to me for awhile now." Colby spoke, causing Sam to blush bright red while a series of incoherencies spluttered from his mouth.

"Yeah, well, I won't give him to you and your stupid gang, even if he was annoying."

"You find me annoying?"

"Of course not Sammy." Sam groaned.

"As for you Mr. Freakface," James turned to Colby. "You know nothing about Sam, so best if you leave him alone." He threatened.

Colby looked confused for a second.

"Didn't ya' know? I love mysteries."

Colby wrapped his arms around Sam's shoulders and leaned in close to his ear.

"Especially the cute ones." He growled.

Sam's cheeks only became more flushed as James and Colby argued over nothing.

"That was fun," Colby stated as he saw Daniel approaching. "Let's do it again sometime."

"Every school morning at 6:00?" Sam offered wanting to spend as much time with Colby as possible.

James looked hesitant to be at the place they call hell so early in the morning, but before he could change the time Colby had answered Sam.

"Deal" James groaned. "Here's my number." He said pulling two slips of paper from his pocket.

"See ya' later!" He yelled out running over to Daniel.

"Later dude!"

"Bye..." Sam whispered to thin air.

"You're in way too deep." James laughed.

"Shut up." Sam mumbled as he started walking to his first class when the bell had rung.
