Today my favorite kind of weather
Appeared again
To lift my spirits perhapsI may have performed rather poorly
At school
But as I look out the window
The gray clouds give me a kind of comfortAs I patiently await the day
I can be proud of the scribbles
That run across the length of my notebooks
Almost like a marathon runner looks
Back at the distance he's coveredI am simply counting the rainy days
The cats that pass idly by,
And the number of times I've replayed a song
