"Why? She's working with the engineers to upgrade the security measures," she says.
"Ok, when will she be back?" I ask.
"Well, she said most likely all day," she replied.
"Fine, I'll wait," I say frustrated.
I walk to the shooting range disappointed and mad, angry that they will be making this place more fortified, all they worry about is a possible attack, not a shortage of food or clothes. I see Will talking with Drake.
"And that is how a gun works," he finishes. "perfect timing James, we need your help with this. Your probably the best shot here at the Embassy with anything here, show Will how it's done,"
"Ok, what will I be shooting today?" I ask.
"Entirely up to you," he says.
I grab an assault rifle, and stand in front of the target ready to fire. Pull the trigger and the target has a mini explosion.
"I put a tiny bit of lighter fluid behind the dead center of the target, and you hit it," he says. I look over at the target again and it's in flames, awesome.
"Don't worry about it, I'll go put it out," Drake says, he walks over there with a fire extinguisher and eradicates the fire.
Then Will walks over with a pistol, probably what he had been practicing with, and readies himself to shoot the target. He aims, then his target also blows up into an inferno of flames.
"You must be a natural marksman as well, I wouldn't be surprised if Carrie wants you to join our little army," Drake says. Then I notice, there is a large group of people outside, they must have been watching us shoot.
'Looks like we've attracted a crowd!" I exclaim. Hope they don't remember our faces, or our names.
"Will, meet me in our room in a few minutes, I want to talk to you about something,"
"Ok, about what?" he asks.
"This isn't the place to talk about it," I retort.
I go straight up to my-our room. Will isn't there yet. I act natural; adjust stuff on my desk, fix my bed, until Will shows up.
"There you are," I say.
"So what's so important you want to talk about? jealous of my awesome shooting skills?" he says. I chuckle at the invalid statement.
"No, it seems like Carrie distrusts you, she's usually worried about clothes and food, now she's upgrading our defense capabilities, this is not normal, I fear she will soon be doing something drastic," I say. " I intend on breaking out, and live in the Badlands,"
