Nooroo felt sick.

He felt sick with anxiety as he hid in the corner of the shoulder bag belonging to his master's son. How long would it take for Hawkmoth to notice he was missing? And what would he do if he found him? For a split second, the small, purple kwami thought of switching hiding places. If he stayed, the blonde boy might get the blame for hiding him if he were to be discovered... but if he moved... The kwami shook his head. There was no use in risking it. He had waited so long for this moment. He had finally found the right time to slip away from his masters' grasp. If he got caught it'd all be for nothing and getting caught was not an option.

He felt sick with guilt as he flinched, hearing someone swiftly walk by. Nooroo let out a sigh of relief he hadn't realised he had been holding, the sound of shoes against marble floor quietened then eventually disappeared. He had been used to attack and assault his friends, again and again, placing so many innocent people in peril. He thought about Tikki and Plagg, about Ladybug and Chatnoir. He desperately wished for a way to tell them he was sorry.

He felt sick with rage, hatred and resentment. How could he have let this go so far? He should've escaped after Hawkmoth's first assault on the citizens of Paris... after he had first got his hands on his miraculous. However, he thought, there was no use in regretting the past. He had made a terrible mistake and he'd have to mend it. But... how? He thought for a moment and then slouched against the side of the bag. Tears began to form in his eyes, his body trembling, the realisation hit him that he couldn't. He was sworn to secrecy on his masters' identity and he couldn't just go up to anyone in the street and ask for help. He was helpless.

Weak, tired, and feeling truly alone, Nooroo closed his eyes and let sleep take of his body, the darkness of the bag welcoming him.

"Hey, Adrien, wake up."

I groaned, gripping my bedcovers and pulling them over my face; a useless attempt to block out the voice of Plagg. It couldn't be morning just yet. It felt like I'd only been asleep for 2 hours... which was true. I had procrastinated on my English homework and then Hawkmoth had decided that would be a fun time to akumatize someone and ALSO I had to fight the first part of the battle on my own as I waited for Ladybug (which was completely understandable, by the way, she was probably asleep at 1 am and I don't blame her for taking her time) and THIS particular villain had been such a pain to get rid of and-

I yawned and snuggled into the sheets. "I'll get you some cheese in a minute... five... five more minutes." I barely managed as I turned in my bed and almost immediately went back to sleep. To my annoyance, I felt his paw prod my head.

"No. Adrien, I mean I AM hungry but I'm being completely serious. You need to see this." My eyes shot open. Serious. Plagg was being serious? I quickly sat up and looked at him, confused and slightly dazed. It must have been important and as much as the feline creature would often joke with me, something about his tone created a sense of urgency. He floated over to my school bag, his green eyes clouded with worry - something really was wrong.

I reluctantly got out of the warmth of my covers, my eyes feeling heavy and I stumbled my way over to my bag, absolutely bewildered as to why Plagg was seemingly distraught about whatever was in it. I crouched down and opened it. I quickly glanced over its usual contents: some textbooks, my English homework, some notes about photosynthesis, a purple bug thing, a chocolate bar wrapper, a-

I did a double take as my green eyes went back to the purple figure that was curled up in the corner of my bag. My gaze went to Plagg, who was staring at me, his expression... scared?

"Is it... a kwami?" He nodded. I waited for him to elaborate but he didn't. As gently as I could I cradled my hands around the small creature and lifted it up and put it on my bed. Placing it on its side, I could now see the butterfly-like wings that protruded from it's back. A butterfly... there was no way that this kwami belonged to... Hawkmoth...?

"Plagg," He had floated down to sit next to the sleeping kwami. His ears swivelled slightly, the only sign that he'd heard me. "Who is this?"

"Nooroo." He replied dismally. "He likes sweets, I think he's exhausted. He needs to eat." I nodded and moved over to my secret sweet stash (a models diet causes me to go to great measures to have to hide sweets in my own room) knowing that Plagg was the same. After I used my miraculous, Plagg always needed to eat otherwise he had to sleep for what seemed like an eternity in order to regain all of his energy. I frowned as I pulled open my drawer. I had very little sweets left, I'd have to find a way to get more. I pulled a couple of berlingots out of a bag and hurried back to Nooroo.

Plagg gently prodded the sleeping kwami and I pooled the sweets onto the bed next to him. Nooroo groaned.

"Nooroo, it's me, Plagg." The creature stirred and opened a lilac eye.

"Plagg...?" It whispered. It seemed disorientated before recognition appeared on its face. "Plagg... Plagg! I'm so sorry-"

"Yes, yes, whatever, save it for later. Eat." The black feline shoved the sweets towards Nooroo who hadn't yet realised I was there. He looked like he was about to argue with Plagg, but he acquiesced and ate one of the sweets.

He swallowed it whole. It was a hardboiled sweet. And he swallowed it. Whole.

Nooroo, immediately gaining back some energy, threw his arms around Plagg and burst into tears. To my surprise, Plagg didn't push him off.

"I'm sorry Plagg! I really tried to tell my master that- that the miraculous shouldn't be used for evil but he- he..."

"I know, Nooroo. I'm glad you're okay." He said. He must of caught me grinning at him and he looked away, a tad embarassed. He was so gentle with Nooroo, and Plagg was very rarely gentle towards me, let alone anyone or anything else; the sight of it made me smile. He coughed. "Nooroo. You're safe now. You need to meet someone."

Nooroo pulled away from Plagg to look at me, his eyes widening.

"You... must be..." He hesitated for a moment. "Chat. Chat Noir?" I nodded.

"My name is Adrien." I introduced myself, trying to be as welcoming as I could. "Adrien Agreste." He visibly flinched.

"Adrien... My name is Nooroo." He settled back down on the bed besides the berlingots. "I am the butterfly kwami and I need your help."
