Today was the day that I was going to the dance with Aaron. I got into a dress.

I did a little make up, just lip gloss and grey eye shadow. I whore grey flats with my dress. I looked at the time. "Aaron should be here any-" The door bell interrupted me. I ran downstairs and opened the door to see Aaron standing there in a suit with a bow tie the color if my dress. "How did you know the color of my dress?" I asked. "Lucky guess?" He smiled. We walked out and to his car. He opened the door for me, and I smiled at him as a thank you as a thank you.
We drove to the school, which was where the dance was being held. We got inside and the song 'Starships' by Nikki Minaj was playing.
I was dancing to the song and saw that all of our friends were here with their dates. A couple slow songs came on after and we danced to them. Aaron looked off towards the punch table, then told me he was going to get us some. A few minutes past and he still wasn't back. Laurence walked up to me then. "Y/N, do you know where Aph is?" He asked. I shook my head. "Do you know where Aaron is?" He shook his head too. We went to look for them and it took us a couple minutes until I found them. I stopped in the middle of the dance floor and grabbed Laurence's arm. "Wha-" He stopped. Before our eyes were Aaron and Aphmau, kissing. Laurence and I both had tears in our eyes. I turned to Laurence and he hugged me. I hugged him back.
We went back to our group. "Aphmau and Aaron are no longer sitting with us at lunch." I said. I explained to everyone why they weren't, and they all looked angry. "Y/N, Laurence, guys, what's up, why do you all look angry?" Aphmau asked, innocently as her and Aaron walked up. "Leave us alone..." I muttered. "Huh?" Aaron asked. We saw you guys kissing! Aph, I trusted you!" Laurence screamed. The music that was playing suddenly stopped and everyone looked at us. I blushed in embarrassment. "Laurence, shut up." I whispered through my teeth while awkwardly smiling. "No!" He screamed. "Aaron, Y/N trusted you to take care of her, and this is how you treat her?! Maybe you two should both leave us alone from now on!" Aph was on the verge of tears. "Fine! Come on, Aaron. It's obvious that we are a bother to all if them." She said. Aphmau grabbed Aaron's arm and stormed off while Aaron followed, dumbfounded. "What are you all looking at?!" Laurence screamed at everyone who was staring. Everyone's mouths were wide open, and I soon realized why. "L-laurence..." I stuttered. "WhAt?!" He was turning to his shadow Knight side. "Y-Your eyes, they're red." For a second, the red in his eyes turned back to blue, but as quick as the first change, it turned back to red. He ran through the doors and out into the hallway. "Laurence!" I called as I ran after him.
I found him outside, sitting on the curb with his head in his hands. "Laurence-" I started. I stopped myself, trying to think of what to say. "I'm a monster..." He whispered. "No, you're not." I replied. "Oh, really? So you don't call someone who turns evil when he gets angry, a monster? You don't call a guy who can't control himself after he changes, a monster?" He started to yell, but then got quieter. I fumbled for words, but nothing came out but stupid sounds. "That's what I thought... Cadenza was right, I need to learn to calm myself down." An idea popped into my head. "Well, I can help with that." I sat down next to him and he looked over at me. "Really?" I nodded. "Whenever u try to control my anger is squeeze my fists together as tight as I can. I call it 'Squeezing Oranges'." He nodded and looked back at the road. "Thanks..." "You know," I said. "I know what it feels like to ve called a freak or to think if myself as a monster." I explained why. He picked himself up off the curb. "You are not a monster, and you have even worse powers than I do. No offence." I chuckled. "None taken." "So if our powers were to define us, they wouldn't, so now I understand that I'm not a monster. Thanks, Y/N." He hugged me, and I hugged back. Into my ear, he whispered, "Since neither of us have dates now, will you be mine?" I pulled away from the hug and nodded. We smiled at each other, went back inside, and had a great time, until two certain people showed up.
"Look, guys, we're really sorry. We were just caught up in the moment, and it just happened. We're really sorry." Aphmau said. "We're sorry too, we shouldn't have reacted like that. But you guys can still keep each other." I said. "What do you mean?" Aaron asked. "I mean that you can go on with Aph, you deserve her. We can still be friends, though. And also what I mean by what you said before is that I'm with Laurence." I explained He nodded, then whispered something in Laurence's ear. They both laughed and hugged it out. After the dance, we l stayed to help clean up. We got to my house around 10 pm, and decided that we would all sleep over at my house. We ended up playing games on our phones, posting stuff on social media, and over all, having a great time. I smiled before I rolled over to go to sleep. "My life may not be perfect, but I love how my life us going right now. It couldn't get any better."
3rd POV~ Little did Y/N know, it was about to get a whole lot better in the morning.
