"Why don't you tell her the whole story, Alpha?" Callum says before spitting some blood from his mouth. "Because it's not as simple as you're making it out to be."
"Quiet, mutt!" My father snaps.
"My dad didn't knowingly take his mate, love. My father lost his true mate in a Rogue attack a week after he met her." He stops to cough up some more, making me snap into action to remove his chains. "Years after, he met my mom - your father's true mate. It wasn't love at first sight, but they did fall for one another and she truly believed she would never find her mate. So, my father marked-"
My father interrupts with a fierce growl. "Do not unchain him, Andromeda." He orders, but I ignore him.
"He marked her. A year later, your father came to our pack for a meeting to draw up an alliance, but went ballistic the second he saw the mark upon my mother's neck." Callum finishes at the exact time I free his right hand. "Thank you, lo-"
Callum is interrupted with me being thrown to the ground.
"I said do not unchain him!" My father roars as he stands over me.
I growl - a warning for him to back the fuck up. Of course, he doesn't heed my warning and my wolf pushes through at his disrespect.
"Father, I'd advise you to back off and let my mate go." I say through gritted teeth. "My wolf doesn't like the treatment of our mate."
"I am not-"
"Let him go Jeffrey!" A familiar voice booms from around us, making my father and I turn towards the source. Alpha Jonathan stands in a gap within the crowd. His eyes are dark and he's breathing heavy - like he's just ran a marathon or something.
He probably has. My wolf chides.
Shush.
"Jeffrey, I swear on the Moon Goddess herself. If you do not release my son, I will end you today." Alpha Jonathan states with enough authority to make almost any wolf crumble.
"You are on my land, Jonathan!" My father roars. "I will not take orders from you."
"He is my son!" Alpha Jonathan growls. "You have nothing holding him here!"
"He killed my son!"
"He didn't fucking kill Derek, father!" I scream, pushing him roughly. "I told you already! A Rogue killed Derek. They would have killed me if it wasn't for Callum!"
"Nonsen-"
"It's not nonsense!" I yell, pushing him again. "I am telling the truth! I wouldn't lie about this - even with him being my mate!"
"Wait...you didn't tell me she was his mate." Alpha Jonathan says, turning to David.
"Yeah...I'm still wrapping my head around that one." David replies, scratching the back of his neck.
My father narrows his eyes in on on David. "You know?" He asks in bewilderment. "My own Beta knew and he didn't even bother to tell me?"
"Well...uh... I just found out about twenty minutes ago. So..." David replies nervously. "Then Andy ordered me to call Alpha Jonathan and Alpha Sky-"
"What?!" My father roars before shifting into his wolf - his eyes set on Alpha Jonathan. His mind on his thirty year feud and that's it. He begins to run for him and I shift quickly into my wolf form. I tackle my father to the ground - making him fall with a loud thud.
"No, father." I mindlink him with a growl. "No more."
He kicks me off with a huff, his eyes still set on Alpha Jonathan. He takes a quick step around me and leaps towards the him, but again I slam into his side.
"Stop this, father!" I shout through our link before he puts a wall up, stopping further communication.
I growl lowly, warning him that I won't let him attack Alpha Jonathan. But he waves me off, ignoring me entirely as again he attempts to lunge for him and again I stop him.
This time, however, I don't fuck around.
This time I bring my teeth down hard on his neck - silently telling him enough is enough and I am in charge now.
He growls and I tighten my bite until I feel him slacken beneath me.
He's submitted.
My father has submitted to me.
I am Alpha Female now.
Gasps ring around us as the pack feels my father's power shift from him to me. I can hear my mother crying in the back - for my father or me, I have no idea.
As I pull away from my father, I shift into my human form. My eyes find David's and he instantly steps toward Callum to finish unchaining him. I watch David's every movement as he releases my mate. And when he's done, I finally look up to the icy blues I love so much - my heart nearly bursting at the pride and love shown within them.
Callum staggers a little as he takes his first step towards me and I find myself running to him. When I reach him, he places his hands on my cheeks and looks at me - just looks at me.
I wrap my arms around his waist, holding him tightly as I stare at him as he is staring at me. We silently communicate everything we want to say - our wolves howling in happiness.
We are finally together. We are finally known. No more lies. No more secrets. Everyone knows we are mates now. Everyone.
"I can't believe we are finally here." He whispers so only I can hear.
I smile before whispering, "I am yours and you are mine."
"I am yours and you are mine." He repeats before capturing my lips with a toe-curling kiss.
"What the hell did I miss?"
